David Branch captured the World Series of Fighting middleweight title Saturday at WSOF 10, and he collected the event’s largest paycheck in the process.
According to figures released Monday by the Nevada Athleic Commission, Branch netted $36,000 for his first-round victory over Jesse Taylor, who pocketed $9,000 in defeat. Taylor submitted to a brabo choke less than two minutes into the main event of WSOF 10 at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Undercard salaries ranged from $30,000 for featherweight Lance Palmer, to $800 for women’s bantamweight Marciea Allen, who was fined 20 percent of her $1,000 purse for missing weight.
