The Legacy Fighting Alliance crowned a new flyweight champion at LFA 100. Only one-half of the main event was fighting for the belt due to late-replacement Nate Smith missing weight, but Victor Altamirano made sure the belt didn't stay vacant.
Altamirano (9-1) opened the fight by landing damaging leg kicks and showcased a clear advantage on the feet. While Smith (6-2) proved he was the better wrestler by taking down "El Magnifico" several times, Altamirano was able to minimize damage and get back to his feet. Neither man came close to finishing the other over five rounds, and ultimately, the judges saw the fight in favor of Altamirano with marks of 50-45, 49-46 and 50-44.

Featherweight Steven Nguyen only needed 30 seconds to defeat Jorge Juarez. A textbook 1-2 combo flattened Juarez (5-3) and floored the fighter. Nguyen improves to 7-1 with the victory and bounces back from his lone career defeat.
Gerald Scott entered his lightweight bout against Tommy Aaron undefeated and received the toughest bout of his career. Aaron (7-4) was game throughout and hurt Scott (4-1) to the body several times and threw nasty elbows on the inside. During Round 3, Aaron locked in a rear-naked choke that forced Scott to tap at the 3:57 mark and suffer his first career defeat.
The LFA 100 main card kicked off with bantamweight action between Christian Natividad and Evan Woolsey. Christian, the younger brother of Ultimate Fighting Championship veteran Kevin Natividad, had a major grappling advantage over Woolsey (1-2) and easily controlled the fight. Ultimately, Natividad (3-0) got some rounds in and stayed undefeated after picking up one 30-27 and two 30-26 scorecards from the judges.
In preliminary action, Emmanuela Moliere won a unanimous decision (29-27, 29-28, 29-26) over Amber Danielson-Smith in their professional debuts, and Maria Henderson (the wife of former UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson) picked up a unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27) over Amanda Mitchell in an amateur strawweight bout that served as both fighters' debut.
