Oluwale Bamgbose Replaces Caio Magalhaes, Meets Cezar ‘Mutante’ at UFC on Fox 19

Oluwale Bamgbose has replaced the injured Caio Magalhaes and will face Cezar Ferreira at next weekend’s UFC on Fox 19 card.

A promotion official confirmed the change Saturday following an initial report by Fox Sports. An ankle injury led to Magalhaes’ withdrawal from the middleweight bout. UFC on Fox 19 takes place at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla., on April 16 and is headlined by a light heavyweight clash between Glover Teixeira and Rashad Evans.

Bamgbose made his Octagon debut on short notice at UFC Fight Night Nashville, where he fell to Uriah Hall via first-round technical knockout. “The Holy War Angel” rebounded in his sophomore outing, knocking out Daniel Sarafian with a head kick and punches 60 seconds into their encounter at UFC Fight Night in Pittsburgh on Feb. 21.

Ferreira has lost three of his last four fights within the Las Vegas-based promotion. Most recently, “Mutante” suffered a first-round knockout loss to Jorge Masvidal at “The Ultimate Fighter 21” finale.
