UFC on Fox 16 Update: Zak Cummings Agrees to Bout with Antonio Braga Neto

Zak Cummings will welcome Antonio Braga Neto to the welterweight division at UFC on Fox 16 on July 25.
Promotion officials announced the bout on Friday. UFC on Fox 16 takes place at the United Center in Chicago and is headlined by a bantamweight title rematch between T.J. Dillashaw and Renan Barao. The card also includes a lightweight scrap pitting Anthony Pettis against Myles Jury.
By the time he steps into the Octagon to face Neto, Cummings will have been out of action for a full year. The Springfield, Mo., native last competed at UFC Fight Night “McGregor vs. Brandao,” where he was submitted in the second round by Gunnar Nelson. Cummings earned triumphs over Ben Alloway and Yan Cabral in his first two promotional appearances.
Neto, meanwhile, will cut to 170 pounds following a split decision loss to Clint Hester at middleweight this past June. The Brazilian debuted in the Octagon with a kneebar submission of Anthony Smith at UFC on Fuel TV 10. The Team Nogueira product has finished seven of his nine career victories by way of tapout.
