In the co-main event, Mousasi managed to clip former Strikeforce champion Dan Henderson with a shot that sent the 44-year-old to the mat. After pouncing and landing some shots, referee Leon Roberts waved the fight off; much to the chagrin of “Hendo.” Regardless, Mousasi was given a $50,000 “Performance of the Night” bonus for his efforts.
Earlier in the evening, Amirkhani shocked many when he finished Andy Ogle in eight-seconds. The win was marred by what some called a controversial stoppage, but after a flying knee and punches, the Finnish international was given the technical knockout win. To add to the sweetness of winning his UFC debut, Amirkhani was given an extra $50,000.
Robinson won his third consecutive fight with a punch that dropped Sultan Aliev to the mat, en route to a $50,000 “Performance of the Night” award. The victory is Robinson’s first via TKO or KO under the UFC banner and could signal his ascension towards the upper echelon of the welterweight ranks.
