Neil Seery was superb against Jon delos Reyes, eventually securing a guillotine in the second round. Delos Reyes shot in, had his neck wrapped up and then power-slammed Seery to the his back. Unfortunately for delos Reyes, the Irish fighter wrenched the choke up even tighter, getting the submission win and an additional $50,000 for one of the two “Performance of the Night” awards.
The other “Performance” bonus went to rising welterweight contender Tom Breese, who took out Cathal Pendred with a sizzling kick to the body, followed by a barrage of punches. The Englishman handed the Irish fighter his second straight loss, and the first-round stoppage was more than enough to warrant the extra coinage on top of his fight purse.
