The Louisiana native had a fairly busy 2022 campaign, with three bouts all ending by stoppage. Unfortunately for “Danger,” he only won once, with his sleep-inducing triangle choke of Su Mudaerji bookended by a guillotine choke from Brandon Royval and most recently, a knockout at the hands of Matheus Nicolau in December. Dating back the last two years, Schnell has only won one time, against the aforementioned Mudaerji, with a decision defeat in May 2021 to Rogerio Bontorin later overturned to a no contest after the Brazilian tested positive for a banned diuretic.
Dvorak also finds himself with his back against the wall coming into this encounter, as he has dropped two straight fights. Both of his 2022 outings went his respective opponent’s way, as Nicolau and Manel Kape both topped him on the scorecards. The defeat to Nicolau snapped a 16-fight win streak for the Czech fighter, including his first three appearances in the Octagon. “The Undertaker” celebrates a finish rate of 80% as a pro, with 14 of his last 16 victories coming before the final bell.
