Titan Fighting Championship will return to the Bank United Center in Coral Gables, Fla., for the third consecutive time on Sept. 9, when Carina Damm and Kalindra Faria vie for the promotion’s inaugural women’s bantamweight crown at Titan FC 41.
Damm punched her ticket to the title fight by toppling Sarah Alpar at Titan FC 39 in June. Faria, meanwhile, has won two in a row, with her last conquest coming in December against Tamires Souza on a Battle of Kings card.
The co-featured bout will see Andrew Whitney take on Farkhad Sharipov to determine the Titan FC bantamweight champion. Their bout will serve as the finals of the promotion’s 135-pound tournament.
“Titan FC is in the midst of an incredibly exciting time,” COO Lex McMahon stated. “We have firmly established South Florida as our home and mecca of MMA. We look forward to building on that momentum and energy by delivering the best card to date which will feature an amazing WMMA bantamweight title fight as well as the mens bantamweight tournament finals and title bout.”
Titan FC 41 will also boast a quadrant of battles pitting members of the famed Blackzilians squad against bitter rivals from American Top Team. Taylor Krahl will take on Valdir Araujo in a 175-pound catchweight battle; Steve Carl will oppose Jason Jackson at welterweight; Raush Manfio will square off against Demarques Jackson in a lightweight encounter; and Ciao Rocha and Aalon Cruz will fight at featherweight. Steve Mowry will also fight Romeo Valdez in a heavyweight affair.
Titan FC 41 will be streamed live on UFC Fight Pass on starting at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.
