San Diego weighed in 134.6 pounds, just below the 135-pound limit. Moments later, Velasco followed suit and clocked in four ounces lighter. The combatants will lock horns for the TPF bantamweight championship.
Tony Llamas was supposed to fight Mario Soto in the original main event, but when Soto withdrew from the card at the last minute when he passed out trying to make weight, the promotion was in a scramble. TPF officials called Jeff Carson roughly two hours before the weigh-ins and he accepted the fight, but he didn’t weigh-in as of press time. Llamas officially weighed 154.6 pounds for the lightweight battle.
