Combate held its main event as the second-to-last fight on the card, which saw lightweight champion Rafa Garcia retain over Humberto Bandenay. The final fight of the night saw Edgar Chairez get a submission win over opponent David Macias Ruiz. Chairez locked up a rear-naked choke at the 3:58 mark of the second round.

Kicking off the main card was an atomweight scrap between Ana Palacios and Laura Huizar. Palacios was able to dominate in the first round, before doing more of the same in the second, where she locked in a rear-naked choke for the victory. Palacios’ win came at 2:03 in the second round.

Ramiro Jimenez didn’t take nearly as long to get his win over Saul Cabrera Ordaz. Jimenez only needed 21 seconds to get the TKO win over Ordaz. It clocked in at the fastest finish of the night.

One of the final decision wins on the night came from Ernesto Ibarra, who took on Santiago Monreal at flyweight. Ibarra outclassed Monreal on the judges’ scorecards 29-28, 29-28, 30-27.

Lightweights Cristian Perez and Roman Lopez Campos were locked inside the cage together. However, that fight didn’t last very long as Perez locked in a rear-naked choke for the submission win in the first round. Perez’s first-round finish came at the 3:02 mark.

Another lightweight bout saw Alessandro Aguilar take on Gabriel Villanueva. Aguilar made quick work of Villaneuva with a first-round TKO, unloading a barrage of strikes on the canvas to put him away. He was awarded the first-round TKO win at 2:59.

Kicking the night off on the prelims was a light heavyweight scrap between L.J. Torres and James Paullada. The back-and-forth brawl went the distance after three rounds of fighting. It was so close that the judges ruled it a draw.
