Although she planned on making a quick turnaround after her win in January, Paige VanZant has been forced to take some time off after breaking her arm again.

On her Instagram stories late Thursday night, Ultimate Fighting Championship flyweight VanZant showed off her unfortunate injury. VanZant was slated to meet Poliana Botelho at UFC 236 this April, but had to withdraw due to this injury. She has since been replaced by Lauren Mueller at that event.

VanZant previously broke that same arm when facing Jessica-Rose Clark at UFC Fight Night 124 in January 2018, and following her loss to Clark she required multiple surgeries to repair the damage. The injury sidelined her for just over a full year.

"12 Gauge" was attempting to keep the momentum going following her armbar win over Rachael Ostovich at UFC Fight Night 143 last month, where she ended a two-fight losing streak with the victory. With that win, she became the second female fighter in promotional history to submit multiple fighters with armbars -- a feat only performed previously by Ronda Rousey.
