One Championship CEO: Cris ‘Cyborg’ is the ‘Greatest Female Martial Artist in History’

Cristiane Justino’s impending free agent status could produce a number of interested suitors for the former UFC, Invicta FC and Strikeforce champion’s services.

On Friday, UFC president Dana White announced that he was “out of the Cyborg business" and planned to release her from her contract with the organization without a three-month negotiating period. That clears the way for Justino to sign with a promotion of her choosing in relatively short order.

While One Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong isn’t openly recruiting “Cyborg” to join the Singapore-based promotion’s roster, he is clearly a fan of the Brazilian knockout artist. Sityodtong praised Justino’s exploits and character in a statement provided to Sherdog.com.

"I love 'Cyborg'," Sityodtong said. "Not only is she the greatest female martial artist in history, but she also has a heart of gold. I respect most that Cris [Justino] wants to use her voice and platform to inspire and help the world.

“Ultimately, she is an inspiration to millions around the world for her life story, achievements, and her values.”
