ONE on Prime Video 10 ‘Johnson vs. Moraes 3’ Play-by-Play & Results

Round 1

The first fight of the night opens with two strikers. Ok is using his length to strike from a distance and land leg kicks. Tynanes is able to clinch and put Ok up against the fence temporarily. They separate, and Ok starts landing his jab. Tynanes is unable to close the distance and is being backed up against the cage. Ok is in control but decides to clinch. Tynanes starts closing in and is throwing swinging hooks, although most are missing their mark. The round ends with Tynanes eating several jabs and then landing a knee of his own.

Round 2

The second frame begins with familiar action on the feet until Tynanes secures a takedown. Ok is in butterfly guard. Tynanes' nose is bleeding. Ok gives up his back and begins crawling to the cage's wall. Ok lands elbows and is now sitting up. Tynanes begins regaining the back and turns Ok over. Tynanes gets his hooks in but Ok stands up and is able to escape the position. They clinch against the cage, with Tynanes punching the body. Ok lands some slight elbows and then a knee. They both land solid strikes in the clinch as the round expires.

Round 3

The jab is being pumped out by Ok. Tynanes working the body but his face is really beat up. Ok is parrying punches and really separating himself with the clean punches. Tynanes scores a takedown and then takes the back of Ok. However, Ok stands up and Tynanes slides off. They clinch against the fence with Tynanes desperate to get a takedown. They separate and Ok lands several punches. Tynanes gets a takedown but Ok gets back to his feet a second later. The fight ends with ok landing a knee.

Round 1

Olivier Coste is overseeing the second MMA fight of the night. Akhmetov is able to take McLaren down. McLaren gets back to his feet but eats a knee. Akhmetov gets another takedown. McLaren gets up but eats several knees to the leg and is then dragged back down. Akhmetov settles in guard and begins landing left hands. Akhmetov is in full control and landing repeated punches from half-guard. Akhmetov drops several elbows as the round ends.

Round 2

Akhmetov takes advantage of McLaren looking to strike and secures a double-leg takedown. McLaren gets up and Akhmetov throws him back to the floor. After a minute, McLaren gets to his feet and starts landing kicks. Akhmetov catches a kick and lands a punch of his own. McLaren charges forward but can't find his foe. Akhmetov lands a combination and then gets a takedown. McLaren pops back up and the round ends with the two looking to strike.

Round 3

The round begins with Akhmetov looking to clinch. He's able to get McLaren up against the fence and then drags him to the floor. It's a suffocating performance by Akhmetov. McLaren gets back up, then is once again pursued by Akhmetov. The two are clinched against the fence with Akhmetov grabbing a leg. Akhmetov continues pursuing the takedown and lands a knee before separating. The referee tells both fighters to deliver more action. Akhmetov clinches again but is unable to gain another takedown. Instead, Akhmetov lands several knees, and McLaren lands a few punches that are too little, too late. Akhmetov throws a spinning kick as the fight ends.

Muay Thai: Jackie Buntan (131: Missed Weight) vs. Diandra Martin (126)

Round 1

Our first muay thai fight of the night. Both fighters are feeling each other out to start. Buntan lands a push kick then the two trade hooks. Martin is being backed up against the cage. Buntan lands an overhand right. A body shot is followed by an overhand right by Buntan, which knocks out Martin as she can't get back up. An impressive display by Buntan.

Submission Grappling: Reinier de Ridder (204.25) vs. Tye Ruotolo (195)

Round 1

Our first submission grappling match of the night sees Ruotolo going up against the much larger de Ridder. Both men clinch against the fence before separating. Neither can get the other down. Lots of head snaps and hand fighting that isn't leading to any positions. Ruotolo is using a lot of energy and is pushing the pace. Ruotolo goes for a foot sweep to no avail. Six and a half minutes left. "RDR" clinches and pushes Ruotolo against the fence. The two separate but clinch up again. Five minutes left with neither man able to take the other down or go for anything. De Ridder gets an underhook, Ruotolo reverse, and goes for a leg sweep, but it goes nowhere. De Ridder tries to get a sweep of his own, which fails but allows Ruotolo to grab his opponent's back. "RDR" is able to get out, and both disengage with 3 minutes left. Ruotolo clinches again but just isn't powerful enough to get a takedown. De Ridder backs up and is warned by the referee. Ruotolo charges forward but "RDR" stays upright. Ruotolo looks for a leg with a minute left. De Ridder gets a trip that almost lands but Ruotolo gets back up. The two clinch against the cage and Ruotolo gets an extremely brief takedown for a second. Ruotolo tries to go for a neck crank but doesn't have anything. In the final seconds, de Ridder drops down and Ruotolo grabs his leg. Ruotolo is bleeding from his nose. Not much of a match.

Round 1

Herb Dean will oversee this mixed martial arts contest. Sang and Rong are feeling each other out early. Sang switches to conventional but isn't finding much success. Rong is landing solid jabs. A cut is opened below the eye of Rong. Back to southpaw, Sang lands an overhand left. Rong lands a solid right hand after Sang misses with a body shot. Despite being bloodied, Rong landing more. Sang rocks Rong late with a series of punches and is backing up his opponent.

Round 2

Sang starts throwing heavy punches in Round 2. Rong lands a big right hand. Rong goes for a takedown, but Sang sinks in a ninja choke. Rong taps! A huge mistake by Rong to try to take the fight to the ground.

Sage Northcutt (169.25) vs. Ahmed Mujtaba (168.25)

Round 1

Olivier Coste will oversee this MMA fight. Mujtaba hurts Northcutt with a jab. Mujtaba immediately gets a takedown and puts Northcutt on his back. Northcutt immediately counters with a heel hook! Mujtaba taps. Wow. A very quick submission win for Northcutt as the crowd chants "Super Sage."

Roberto Soldic (184.25) vs. Zebaztian Kadestam (184.5)

Round 1

Herb Dean is the third man inside the cage for this fight between strikers. Soldic is going to the body. Kadestam eats multiple left hands. Soldic is getting more and more confident. Another left hand was ripped to the body by Soldic. Kadestam backing up and on the defensive. A leg kick lands for Kadestam. An elbow misses for Soldic. Blood over the eye of Kadestam. Soldic ends the round by landing a left hook. Good start for Soldic.

Round 2

Soldic immediately starts throwing the left. A right hand catches Soldic and knocks him down. Kadestam knows this is his chance and rushes forward. Kadestam keeps throwing and is hurting Soldic badly. Soldic wobbles and tries to fire back but gets knocked down by a right hand. An elbow and two left hands send Soldic back down again, and the fight is waved off.

Nong Stamp (113.25) vs. Alyse Anderson (114)

Round 1

A title shot is in the line. Anderson takes the center of the cage. Stamp stings Anderson with a punch and clinches. Anderson gets a takedown, but Stamp scrambles on top. Anderson locks on an inverted triangle, but Stamp is able to get out of it. Both women separate on the feet. A spinning back fist lands for Anderson. Stamp is circling well but not landing too much offensively. Anderson shoots in for a takedown, but it is defended. The round ends with Anderson landing a straight right.

Round 2

Anderson working her jab well to start the second round. Anderson tries to grapple, but Stamp jumps on the back. Stamp is backpacking and has her legs locked in. The referee is aggressively yelling at the women to work and Stamp jumps to the ground. Anderson clinches with Stamp against the fence. They separate, and Stamp lands a devastating body kick to the liver that forces Anderson into a fetal position. The fight is stopped as Anderson can't defend herself intelligently. Brutal kick!

ONE Submission Grappling Title Fight: Mikey Musumeci (134) vs. Osamah Almarwai (133.75)

Round 1

Musumeci immediately goes for a leg lock. Almarwai begins rolling. Musumeci has an Achilles lock that is locked in. Musumeci locks in a heel hook, and a second catch is called. Almarwai is able to escape and stands up, but Musumeci grabs another leg. Almarwai is back on the floor to defend. A third catch is called by the referee as Musumeci continues to threaten with leg submissions. Almarwai tries to roll out of it and then stands back up but can't get his legs free. Another catch is called for Musumeci, who is going for another leg lock. Catch is called again. This is all Musumeci through five minutes. Almarwai is defending well but can't get anything offensive going. Musumeci gets two more catch calls while switching legs. Almarwai is warned for not engaging after he stands up and backs off. Almarwai goes back down but once again finds himself defending leg locks. Musumeci gets on top and finds his way to the back of his opponent. Musumeci gets both hooks in and starts searching for a rear-naked choke as his opponent's arm is trapped. Almarwai taps as he can't defend.

ONE Muay Thai Title Fight: Rodtang Jitmuangnon (134) vs. Edgar Tabares (134)

Round 1

Olivier Coste will oversee the muay thai title fight. Rodtang opens with several leg kicks. Tabares fires off a head kick that is blocked. Rodtang catches a kick and fires back. Tabares spins with elbows and fires off a leg kick of his own. Rodtang starts working the midsection well. Both men are patient and learning each other. Tabares gets hit over the top by Rodtang. Solid first round.

Round 2

Rodtang opens with sharp leg kicks. Tabares answers back with his own. A lead elbow brings Tabares to a knee, but it isn't counted as a knockdown. Rodtang throwing stepping elbows that are doing damage. Rodtang catches a kick and lands another big elbow. Rodtang clocks Tabares with a huge elbow that floors Tabares, who is completely out of it. It is ruled a knockout, and this fight is over.

ONE Title Fight: Demetrious Johnson (133.75) vs. Adriano Moraes (134)

Round 1

Herb Dean is the ref for the main event. Both men are feeling each other out. Johnson is landing leg kicks, and Moraes counters with a solid right hand. "Mighty Mouse" is quick and is able to get in and out without being tagged. The bigger fighter, Moraes, is able to use his size and clinch against the fence. Moraes lands some damaging knees in the clinch and short elbows.

Round 2

Johnson is throwing leg kicks early. Moraes snaps back the head of Johnson with a well-timed right hand. Moraes catches a kick and scores with an elbow of his own. Johnson gets clinched and is being handled by the larger fighter. Moraes landing knees on the inside. Johnson is able to get a takedown late but can't keep Moraes down. Moraes controls the pace on the feet for the rest of the frame.

Round 3

Moraes continues to use his size advantage and looking to clinch. Johnson is able to turn the larger fighter around before separating. Moraes goes for a takedown but can't get it. Sharp elbows land for "Mighty Mouse," who is starting to have more success in the clinch as Moraes is slowing down. Johnson lands knees and the pace is starting to pay off for the champion. Moraes goes for a takedown but Johnson defends and lands elbows.

Round 4

Johnson is landing body kicks and doing some solid damage to Moraes. "Mighty Mouse" lands shoulder strikes as they clinch against the cage. Small elbows are making the difference, and Johnson also lands a jumping knee while clinched. A brutal fight in the clinch as Johnson shows off his varied attack. Moraes continues to try to bring the fight to the floor, but Johnson stays upright and continues landing short strikes.

Round 5

More of the same action as Johnson continues to come forward. They clinch against the cage but it's Johnson that is increasingly in control. Short knees land for the champ. Moraes is able to stay upright and does some solid bodywork. The main event fighters are separated by the referee. Two minutes left. Moraes keeps going straight into clinching. A jumping knee for Moraes misses. They clinch, and "Mighty Mouse" unsuccessfully goes for a takedown. They're separated again, and the fight ends, never really getting out of second gear.
