Nielsen: One Championship Among World’s Top 10 Global Sports Properties

One Championship is making progress as one of the most significant professional sports organizations in the world.

According to a report released by Nielsen, the Singapore-based promotion ranks among the Top 10 global sports properties in the world, with high rankings in a number of significant areas.

The study reveals that One has grown its digital following across social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and YouTube at a rate of 113 percent, which is 28 percent higher than Formula 1, the next closest sports property. Overall, One ranks seventh overall in terms of total followers across those digital platforms, per Nielsen.

Meanwhile, the promotion is No. 3 in terms of cumulative reach behind only English Premier League soccer and UEFA Champions League soccer. The UFC ranks No. 6 in this category. According to a release, “cumulative reach measures the number of unique viewers who tune in to watch at least one minute of a TV broadcast.”

In other notable categories, One Championship is No. 4 in total video views, No. 5 in total engagement on Facebook and No. 10 in broadcast hours in 2020.
