Kickboxing promoter Glory announced Tuesday that Glory 25 will be anchored by a lightweight championship bout between reigning titleholder Robin van Roosmalen and Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong. The event will be held on Nov. 6 at the Palalper in Monza, Italy.
Van Roosmalen (34-6, 19 KOs) has won three consecutive battles under the Glory umbrella, with his most recent triumph coming at Glory 20 in Dubai. The Dutch fighter says he has a plan that will allow him to retain his title against one of Thailand’s best.

Sitsongpeenong (99-27-5, 26 KOs), who won the Glory 22 tournament, said that while the champ is a dangerous man, he doesn’t think van Roosmalen will be able to deal with his attacks.
“It is very difficult for an orthodox stance fighter to withstand the damage from my powerful left kicks,” Sitsongpeenong said. “[Van Roosmalen] is tough and has good heart; he will be harder to hurt than my past opponents. He is also dangerous, a heavy puncher.”
The event’s co-feature will be a clash between Giorgio Petrosyan and Josh Jauncey. Glory 25 will also feature a one-night four-man welterweight tournament that will determine champion Nieky Holzken’s next challenger. The combatants for the tournament will be announced in the near future.
