Jorge Masvidal will get to face another champion this week, but it won’t be in the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s Octagon.

This 5 Round Grudge Match will begin with Masvidal being spotted 15 points and if a player reaches 21 points by the end of the 5th Round, that will be considered a knockout. If no player achieves a KO by the end of 5th Round we will go to the scoreboard to determine the winner by decision.
According to a release from the
American Cornhole League, Masvidal and Henderson crossed paths on
the cornhole boards of radio row during Super Bowl week in January.
“The two enjoyed some friendly banter as Henderson showcased his
skills to win round after round against Masvidal,” the release
states. “Cody gave Jorge some tips on how to improve his technique
along with some basic strategy for competitive cornhole. Jorge
vowed to get better and be back to compete again.”
According to odds released by ACL, Masvidal is a +900 underdog to win by KO and a +250 underdog to take a decision in the match. With an early advantage, Masvidal is confident he can prevail.
“I have the fastest KO in MMA fighting history and now I am going for the fastest KO in cornhole history. Cody will regret spotting me 15 points,” he said.
Masvidal last appeared at UFC 251 on July 11, where he dropped a five-round verdict to reigning welterweight champion Kamaru Usman on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. The Miami native couldn’t resist taking a shot at Usman ahead of his cornhole showdown.
“Only way I get stopped is if foot stomps are legal,” Masvidal wrote on Twitter.
