UFC 211 already lost a featured matchup between Henry Cejudo and Sergio Pettis earlier after Cejudo withdrew from the flyweight bout due to an existing hand injury. Saturday’s card takes place at American Airlines Arena in Dallas and is headlined by a heavyweight championship bout between Stipe Miocic and Junior dos Santos. Gordon vs. Quinones was set to air on the FX-televised portion of the prelims.
A former Cage Fury Fighting Championship featherweight titlist, Gordon was discovered on the UFC reality series “Dana White: Lookin’ for a Fight.” The 28-year-old has compiled a 12-1 record since beginning his professional career in 2011. The Renzo Gracie Jiu-Jitsu product has finished five of his wins by KO/TKO and two via submission.
