Invicta Fighting Championships returns for the promotion’s first show since March 6.

The all-female card is now official as all fighters stepped on the scales, but it wasn’t without some drama as DeAnna Bennett was removed from her bout against Victoria Leonardo after suffering a medical issue while cutting weight. Leonardo has been paid her show money and the card will proceed with one less fight. The event is headlined by a strawweight bout between former title challenger Emily Ducote and Ultimate Fighting Championship vet Juliana Lima.

Looking to bounce back from a heartbreaking split decision loss to Kanako Murata for Invicta’s strawweight championship, Ducote will attempt to prove that she’s better than her 8-6 record indicates. The Bellator MMA veteran went 4-4 inside the California-based promotion’s cage, with two of those losses coming to Ilima-Lei Macfarlane at flyweight. Ducote looked great in her Invicta debut, knocking out Janaisa Morandin. She had no issue making weight and came in at 115.2 pounds.

Looking to derail the title shot aspirations for "Gordinha" is Lima (10-6). The Brazilian went 3-4 inside the Octagon but two of the losses came to former champions Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Carla Esparza. Her latest run inside Invicta started well, as she defeated Danielle Taylor by split decision, but she dropped a decision later that night to Brianna Van Buren in the initial Phoenix Series event. Both of those bouts were just a single round, and “Ju Thai” will get to show her improvements over three against Ducote. Lima weighed 115.5 pounds for her first main event.

Invicta FC 40 will air live on UFC Fight Pass starting at 8 p.m. ET.
