in a clash between two welterweight action fighters at UFC on Fox
22 “VanZant vs. Waterson” on Dec. 17 at the Golden 1 Center in
Sacramento, California. Ultimate Fighting Championship officials on
Monday announced the pairing, along with another welterweight
battle pitting Colby
Covington against Bryan
Barberena.
Jouban has rattled off four wins across his last five appearances, losing only to Albert Tumenov. The 34-year-old Brazilian jiu-jitsu brown belt last competed at a UFC Fight Night event on July 7, when he was awarded a unanimous decision over former Titan Fighting Championship titleholder Belal Muhammad at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Jouban boasts 10 finishes among his 14 career victories.
Perry has secured all nine of his wins by knockout or technical knockout. He last fought at UFC 204 on Oct. 8, when he cut down Cage Warriors Fighting Championship veteran Danny Roberts with a third-round knee strike and follow-up punches. Perry, 25, made his Octagon debut in August, as he disposed of Hyun Gyu Lim with punches in the first round of their UFC 202 bout.
