Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller Arrested for DUI Last Weekend in California

Before it was announced that he was coming out of retirement to fight again, Jason Miller had yet another brush with law enforcement this past weekend.

According to a report from TMZ, the controversial fighter was arrested for DUI in Irvine, Calif, on Sunday. Given Miller’s history, 15 officers and a K-9 unit were called to the scene to provide assistance after police received a tip that he was driving drunk. “Mayhem” showed “obvious signs of intoxication” and failed several sobriety tests but did not get violent with police. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of DUI and jailed.

Orange County Sheriff’s Department inmate records confirm Miller’s arrest, and that he has since been cited and released. Detailed inmate information is no longer posted on the OCSD website due to “security concerns.”

Of Miller’s several run-ins with the law in recent years, a few have involved him getting violent with authorities. The 35-year-old California native was arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer with a deadly weapon at his home this past October and was also arrested for brawling with police outside a Laguna beach nightclub in March 2015.

Earlier this week, Italian MMA promotion Venator FC revealed that Miller was coming out of retirement to face Luke Barnatt for the promotion’s middleweight title on May 21. The UFC and Strikeforce veteran later produced a bizarre video discussing his upcoming bout with “Josh Barnett.”
