British MTV reality star Aaron Chalmers will appear on the Bellator 200 main card in a catchweight fight against Ash Griffiths, the promotion announced Wednesday.
Chalmers vs. Griffiths will be contested at 163 pounds. Bellator 200 takes place at the SSE Arena in London on May 25 and will feature a middleweight championship clash between Rafael Carvalho and Gegard Mousasi as well as a heavyweight rematch pitting Roy Nelson against Mirko Filipovic. The main card airs on the Paramount Network via tape delay in the United States at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT.
Chalmers appeared on two MTV programs, “Geordie Shore” and “Ex on the Beach,” before transitioning to an MMA career. “The Joker” made his first three professional appearances under the British Association of Mixed Martial Arts banner, winning each inside of a round. Chalmers’ opponents in those bouts currently have a combined record of 0-4.
With nine fights to his credit, Griffiths will be Chalmers’ most experienced foe to date. However, Griffiths has been finished inside of a round in each of his last three appearances.
