Bader-Matyushenko, Mitchell-Thoresen Added to UFC on Fox 6 Bill in Chicago
UFC on Fox 6 has added a pair of bouts to its Jan. 26 agenda, as Ryan Bader squares off with Vladimir Matyushenko at light heavyweight and David Mitchell meets Simeon Thoresen at welterweight.
The promotion announced that verbal agreements are in place for the new matchups on Monday. UFC on Fox 6 takes place at the United Center in Chicago and features a flyweight title tilt between Demetrious Johnson and John Dodson as its headliner.

Matyushenko last appeared at UFC 141, where he suffered a first-round TKO defeat to rising prospect Alexander Gustafsson. Prior to that setback, “The Janitor” had been victorious in four of his last five outings, including a 20-second knockout of Jason Brilz at UFC 129.
Mitchell is winless in two UFC bouts, dropping unanimous decisions to T.J. Waldburger at UFC Fight Night 22 and to Paulo Thiago at UFC 134. Mitchell was expected to face Hyun Gyu Lim at UFC on Fuel TV 6 last month, but the bout was scrapped when Lim was declared unfit to compete.
Thoresen is 1-1 in the UFC after being knocked out by Seth Baczynski at UFC 152. “The Grin” was victorious in his promotional debut, submitting Besam Yousef with a rear-naked choke in the second round at UFC on Fuel TV 2.
