UFC on Fox 6 Averages 3.77 Million Viewers, Wins 18-to-49 Age Demographic on Saturday Night

It looks like flyweights can appeal to the masses.

According to preliminary figures released by TVByTheNumbers.com on Sunday, UFC on Fox 6 averaged 3.77 million viewers on Saturday night, representing a slight increase from the 3.4 million who witnessed UFC on Fox 5 on Dec. 8. The event, which was headlined by a flyweight title bout between Demetrious Johnson and John Dodson, scored a 1.8 rating among adults ages 18-to-49, a 13 percent improvement from the 1.6 rating achieved by UFC on Fox 5, which featured a lightweight title showdown between Benson Henderson and Nate Diaz.

Those ratings helped Fox garner the top rating among adults 18 to 49 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET, while CBS had the most total viewers during that time slot. The final ratings for UFC on Fox 6 could increase, as the five-round main event was still being contested past 10 p.m. ET.

While UFC on Fox 6 bested the ratings of the promotion’s previous three installments on the network, UFC on Fox 1 and UFC on Fox 2 are still the two highest-rated events to be shown on the channel. UFC on Fox 1 garnered 4.6 million viewers, while UFC on Fox 2 earned 4.37 million.
