"The Alpha Ginger" Spike Carlyle made a very impressive promotional debut against Aalon Cruz in their UFC Norfolk preliminary matchup. Carlyle rocked Cruz early with a head kick, forcing Cruz to eventually go in on a takedown attempt. However, Carlyle showed off some relentless takedown defense, nailing Cruz with elbows and headshots that brought Cruz to his knees. After mounting Cruz, Carlyle put him away with a TKO after a relentless barrage.
