Zubaira Tukhugov vs. Kevin Aguilar Added to UFC Auckland on Feb. 22

Zubaira Tukhugov will square off against Kevin Aguilar at UFC Auckland on Feb. 22.

The promotion announced the featherweight pairing through its social media channels on Tuesday. UFC Auckland takes place at Spark Arena and is headlined by a lightweight clash between Paul Felder and Dan Hooker. The card will stream on ESPN+.

A training partner of lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, Tukhugov returned from a three-year hiatus at UFC 242, where he battled Lerone Murphy to a split draw on Sept. 7. Tukhugov is 3-1-1 in the Octagon and 18-4-1 as a professional overall.

Aguilar has gone 2-1 in the Las Vegas-based promotion since appearing on Dana White’s Contender Series in July 2018. After outpointing Rick Glenn and Enrique Barzola in his first two bouts, “The Angel of Death” dropped a unanimous verdict against Dan Ige in his most recent outing at UFC Fight Night 154 to fall to 17-2 in his professional career.
