Sidemar Honorio vs. Matthew Lozano

Round 1

Technical difficulties. Picking up with round two.

Round 2

Honorio the aggressor early with right hands and leg kicks. Lozana hesitant to get off early, as the circles the outside of the cage. Lozano shoots in for a takedown and scores, but Honorio is back to his feet quickly. Lozano trying to apply a heel hook, but its to no avail, Honorio doing a fine job of weathering the storm. They stand up, Lozano throws bombs that score. They reach the mat again, Honorio has Lozano’s leg locked up but it’s not in any danger of being finished. Honorio is on top, now he is raining down punches, he falls on his side and begins twisting his opponent’s knee viciously. Lozano desperately escapes the sequence. 10-9 Honorio.

Round 3

The fight opens up with Honorio cracking Lozano on the arm with a kick, which seems to break his arm. Yes, his arm was broken while blocking a head kick. This one is finished. Paramedics are tending to Lozano in the cage now.

Matt Secor vs. Brett Shoenfelt

Round 1

Schoenfelt coming out swinging to start the bout. Secor feels the heat and immediately takes the fight to the mat. Secor lifts his opponent and slam him on the floor. Three minutes into the round and Secor is focusing on just remaining in top control, not throwing too many punches, but doing just enough to avoid Dan Miragliotta from standing the fight up. Secor looking to pass into side control but is denied. 10-9 Secor.

Round 2

Again Schoenfeld comes out firing, but he throws one too many punches and again gets taken to the floor. Schoenfeld shows an affinity for striking, but he continues to get taken down after a flailing attempt. Secor trying to posture up, throw some shots, but Schoenfeld grabs hold of Secor’s arms, tying him up. Schoenfeld is now bleeding from the head, Secor was able to open him up with a grazing blow. Schoenfeld gives up his back, Secor flips around and is now throwing elbows to the side of his opponent’s head. Schoenfeld loses his mouthpiece, Secor sinks in the rear-naked choke and that’s all she wrote.

Katlyn Chookagian vs. Brigitte Narcise

Round 1

Narcise looking for her first ever MMA win against Chookagin. Narcise goes for a takedown but falls right into a triangle choke. Chookagin is pouring it on with elbows to the top of Narcise’s head. Chookagin really working Narcise over here. Chookagin using her reach to pound Narcise, who gets wobbly after each shot she eats. Narcise’s game plan seems to be throwing punches with her head down, but she’s not accurate. Big leg kick lands for Chookagin. Solid round for the woman many call “Blonde Fighter.” 10-9 Chookagin.

Round 2

Narcise gets rocked with a shot to open the second round and falls flat on her back. The impact wakes her and she pops right back up. Chookagin circling, Narcise shoots for a takedown and gets it, then immediately goes for a heel hook but Chookagin stands back up quickly. Chookagin scores another flash knockdown, opening up Narcise instantaneously. She has a big cut underneath the eye. Narcise persevering, but Chookagin is just too polished to be phased by her opponent. Narcise is getting pounded here, but Chookagin can’t get a finish. They will go to the third and final round. 10-9 Chookagin.

Round 3

Narcise shoots to open the third round, she gets as far as putting Chookagin against the cage but then out of nowhere Chookagin catches Narcise with a knee knocking Narcise out instantly. This one is all over. The 44-year-old is out cold. Chookagin defeats Narcise via TKO (knee) at 0:38 of round three.

Nick Browne vs. Sidney Outlaw

Round 1

Browne comes out and rocks Outlaw with a shot before I could even type this sentence, he follows up on Outlaw and begins wrecking Outlaw with hammerfists waiting for the referee to stop the fight. Here it is, the referee steps in and this one is all over, following a well-placed shot. Browne defeats Outlaw via KO (punches) at 0:25 of Round One

Tenyeh Dixon vs. Emmanuel Walo

Round 1

Dixon comes out swinging, catching Walo with a shot then pressing him against the cage. Walo takes the fight to the mat and begins to assume top control, “Skinny Man” manages to move the fight on the floor to the cage as they try to stand, the referee makes it easy for them and splits them up due to a lack of action. Walo throws a leg kick but it gets caught, sending him onto his back. Dixon is controlling the action against the cage, the referee again asks for some action. 10-9 Dixon.

Round 2

Dixon continuing to press Walo against the cage successfully. Again Walo throws a kick but it’s caught by Dixon and he’s sent to his back. The welterweights trade jabs in the center of the cage, suddenly Dixon comes forward, landing a pair of shots. Both men not doing a whole lot here, drawing some boos from those in attendance. A low blow creates a break in the action. When the fight resumes, Dixon continues peppering Walo with the jab, then opens up for a head kick attempt. Another clear round for Dixon. 10-9 Dixon.

Round 3

Walo showing a bit more urgency, likely down on the judges’ scorecards. Dixon keeping him at bay with jabs, Dixon comes in with a big right hand. This fight has left a lot to be desired, although Dixon is winning on my scorecard, he hasn’t done anything of note. Walo throws an overhand left, Dixon answers with a front kick. Both men pawing at each other from the center of the cage. Walo circling around the outside of the cage, then shoots for a takedown and fails to end the fight and the prelims. 10-9 Walo (29-28 Dixon).

Tom Marcellino vs. Frankie Perez

Round 1

Tom Marcellino cracks Perez with a spinning back elbow to start the fight. Both men showing good hand speed to open the main card. Perez stutter stepping inside as both men throw shots simultaneously. Perez seems to want to take the fight to the floor, but Marcellino is sprawling the take down attempts well. Both men fighting hard for a takedown against the cage, but it’s a stalemate thus far. Perez threw Marcellino twice but couldn’t get the job done. Marcellino score a takedown for a split-second, but Perez immediately gets back up to the feet. Perez rocking Marcellino in the final minute, spouting off with shots that have Marcellino on the verge of getting finished. Right knee to the body from Perez, who takes the round in the final minute. 10-9 Perez.

Round 2

Perez catches Marcellino with a shot to open the second round. Head kick attempt from Perez narrowly misses its mark. Marcellino throws a front kick with his back against the steel mesh. Big body shot scores to the body of Marcellino. Perez catches Marcellino with a knee to the body as Marcellino is shooting, it crumples Marcellino to the floor. Dan Miragliotta stops the fight after an illegal shot from Perez. Big welt on the head of Marcellino, who is tentative after the shots he has taken. Perez tries to take the back of Marcellino, Perez has a good grip on the midsection of Marcellino and scores another takedown. Another clear cut round for Perez. 10-9 Perez.

Round 3

Marcellino shoots for the takedown immediately and fails. As the maneuver is sprawled, Perez pounds his opponent’s temples with shots from the elbow. Huge leg kick from Perez chops Marcellino’s leg out from underneath him, he is working Marcellino in every facet of the game here. Perez standing back now, making Marcellino work and come inside. Perez throws a kick that is caught by Marcellino, he then attempts to parlay a guillotine choke but it fails. Perez comes back with a takedown and is successful. Perez takes the back of Marcellino, they stand, knee to the midsection from Perez, who then presses Marcellino against the cage. Big exchange with 90 seconds left, Perez holding on. Spinning back kick from Perez lands, knocking Marcellino off his feet. 10-9 Perez (30-27 Perez).

Isaiah Chapman vs. Timur Valiev

Round 1

Chapman attempts a front kick on Valiev to open the bantamweight fight. Valiev catches Chapman with a headkick, Valiev retaliates with an uppercut. Leg kick from Valiev scores, then Chapman shoots and scores a takedown and locks in a guillotine. Valiev pops his head out and assumes top control, he throws a few hammerfists and Chapman rolls over giving up his back, Valiev begins cranking the neck looking for a submission. Valiev pounding the sides of Chapman’s head with left and right shots. Dan Miragliotta letting the fight go, but Valiev pounded Chapman the last two minutes of the round. 10-9 Valiev.

Round 2

Valiev catches Chapman with a spinning backfist early in the second round. Valiev wildly swings with a kick attempt and Chapman capitalizes with a takedown, his first of the fight. Valiev muscles his way out of it and stands back up. Chapman doing a better job of getting his shots off first here. Valiev attempts another spinning backfist, but again it misses. Valiev getting dangerously close to connecting with a monstrous head kick. Front kick attempt from Valiev gets caught by Chapman, the fight winds up on the mat for a moment, then assumes its spot in the center of the cage. Valiev scores a takedown as the second round comes to a close. 10-9 Valiev.

Round 3

Nothing going in the third round a minute in, Valiev doesn’t need to take the fight to Chapman up clearly on the scorecard 2-0. Valiev takes the fight to the floor, moves into side control and isolates the left arm of Chapman. Valiev staying very busy on top, not with power strikes, but he is always trying to advance his position. Valiev postures up and throws two power punches that Chapman avoids. Chapman squirms and winds up on his stomach, Valiev attempting to flatten him out. Valiev sinks in a rear-naked choke again for a brief moment, but then postures up again and starts throwing the right and left punches to the temple of Chapman. 10-9 Valiev (30-27 Valiev).

Keon Caldwell vs. Ozzy Dugulubgov

Round 1

Caldwell catches Dugulubgov with a shot that almost came across as a collision. Caldwell winds up on top, Dugulubgov grabbing a leg, trying to prevent Caldwell from gaining a dominant position. Caldwell has the mount, Dugulubgov is already bleeding from the nose. Both men throw overhand rights in unison, missing in unison also. Dugulubgov gets a takedown up against the cage. Dugulubgov transitions to a dominant top position, as the crowd begins loud chants of “Ozzie.” Dugulubgov fishing for a leg submission on Caldwell, but the Georgia native is able to get to his feet. Caldwell catches Dugulubgov with an uppercut as he separates and explodes off the cage. That’s the end of the first round. 10-9 Dugulubgov.

Round 2

Leg kick from Caldwell makes a loud cracking sound to open the frame. Caldwell narrowly misses with a headkick. Dugulubgov stuns his opponent with some huge shots to the head, he follows with a knee to the gut but Caldwell grabs ahold and manages to slow the fight down against the cage. Caldwell loads up on a body shot. Dugulubgov shoots for a takedown and is successful, with two minutes left in the frame that could be a big moment in the fight. Dugulubgov takes Caldwell’s back but Caldwell stands. Dugulubgov picks him up and throws him back down to the floor. Dugulubgov pushes Caldwell against the cage and gets another takedown to end the second round. 10-9 Dugulubgov.

Round 3

Spinning back kick to the body of Caldwell from Dugulubgov, but then absolutely out of nowhere, Dugulubgov clips Caldwell with a huge shot that knocks Caldwell out instantaneously. Caldwell is as stiff a board on the ground. Definitely a top notch knockout for Dugulubgov who looked lethal. Dugulubgov defeats Caldwell via KO at 1:38 of round three.

Marlon Moraes vs. Cody Bollinger

Round 1

Moraes circles, stalking Bollinger. Moraes catches Moraes with shot but then eats a right from Bollinger. Moraes looks quick early. Huge kick to the liver of Bollinger of winces when he eats the shot. Moraes crumples Bollinger with another shot, Bollinger looks like he is finished, Moraes manages to not punch himself out. They stand up again. Moraes catches Bollinger with a left and a right to the side of the head. It’s been all in favor of the champion so far. Bollinger very tentative after eating those shots early. Moraes catches Bollinger with a left head kick as the first round closes. 10-9 Moraes.

Round 2

Moraes opening up with the kicks, then he catches Bollinger with a shot to the temple dropping the Rancho Cucamonga native. Moraes has sinks in a choke, going full-bore for the finish. Bollinger weathers the storm for a second, but finally taps to the rear-naked choke submission.
