WSOF 27 Weigh-in Results: Caros Fodor, Luiz Firmino Hit Marks in Tennessee

There were no pre-fight glitches for Luiz Firmino and Caros Fodor.

Firmino tipped the scales at 155.4 pounds for his meeting with Fodor (154.6) in the World Series of Fighting 27 main event on Saturday at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee. Light heavyweight co-headliners Teddy Holder (204.5) and Shamil Gamzatov (204.5) also met their mandated weight requirements at Friday’s official weigh-in.

The 32-year-old Fodor has posted back-to-back victories but has not fought since he submitted Vincent Latoel with a second-round rear-naked choke inside the One Championship promotion more than a year ago. He represents the AMC Pankration outfit in Kirkland, Washington, where he trains under Matt Hume and alongside Ultimate Fighting Championship flyweight titleholder Demetrious Johnson. Seven of Fodor’s 10 professional wins have resulted in finishes.

Firmino finds himself on a five-fight winning streak, unbeaten since a November 2011 decision loss to John Alessio. The 33-year-old Pride Fighting Championships veteran last appeared at WSOF 10, where he took a unanimous verdict from Tyson Griffin.
