WSOF 20 Weigh-in Results: Branch, McElligott Official for LHW Tournament Showdown

The light heavyweight tournament clash between David Branch and Jesse McElligott (203) will move forward as planned, as both combatants made weight ahead of their World Series of Fighting 20 headlining bout.

Branch checked in at 204 pounds at Thursday’s weigh-ins, while McElligott tipped the scales at 203. The winner of their fight will eventually square off with Teddy Holder, who upset UFC veteran Thiago Silva in the other half of the 205-pound bracket at WSOF 19. McElligott was a last-minute replacement for Ronny Markes, who was forced to withdraw from the main event after suffering from dehydration.

A native of West Roxbury, Mass., the 24-year-old McElligott is 5-1 as a professional, including four victories via knockout, technical knockout or submission. He last competed in June 2014, when he submitted Kevin Haley via second-round submission.
