Vladimir Tokov, Younger Brother of Anatoly Tokov, Signs Contract with Bellator MMA
Vladimir
Tokov, the younger brother of 185-pound contender Anatoly
Tokov, has signed with Bellator MMA.
A promotion official confirmed the signing to Sherdog.com on Tuesday. The 22-year-old Tokov will compete in Bellator’s lightweight division. A date for his debut has not been set.
The younger Tokov is just getting started in his professional career, compiling a 3-0 mark on the regional circuit in Russia. He hasn’t competed since July 2017, when he outpointed Evgeniy Plaksin in Sochi, Russia. Tokov finished his first two foes inside of a round.
Bellator can only hope that Vladimir pans out as well as his sibling. Anatoly Tokov is 3-0 in Bellator and is coming off a decision win over former middleweight champion Alexander Shlemenko.
