UFC on ESPN 19 Medical Suspensions: Hermansson Facing Potential 6-Month Term

Jack Hermansson could be sidelined for a while following his five-round battle with Marvin Vettori in the UFC on ESPN 19 main event.

“The Joker” is suspended for six months unless he has a left orbital fracture cleared by an ophthalmologist. At a minimum he is suspended until Feb. 4 with no contact until Jan. 20. Vettori, meanwhile, needs to have a left eyelid cut cleared by a doctor or he is out until Jan. 20. At a minimum, “The Italian Dream” is suspended until Jan. 5 with no contact until Dec. 27.

mixedmartialarts.com released a full list of medical suspensions from the event late Monday night. UFC on ESPN 19 took place this past Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

Four other fighters from the card are facing potential six-month terms: Jamahal Hill (left hand), John Allan (right knee, right ankle), Damon Jackson (nasal bone fracture) and Jake Colllier (left orbital fracture).

Jack Hermansson: must have left orbital floor fracture cleared by ophthalmologist or no contest until 06/04/21; minimum suspension no contest until 02/04/21, no contact until 01/20/21

Jamahal Hill: must have left hand X-ray, if positive must have doctor clearance or no contest until 06/04/21

Ovince St. Preux: suspended until 01/20/21, no contact until 01/05/21

Gabriel Benitez: suspended until 12/20/20, no contact until 12/13/20

Justin Jaynes: suspended until 01/05/21, no contact until 12/27/20

John Allan: must have right knee MRI and right ankle X-Ray, if positive must have doctor clearance or no contest until 06/04/21; minimum suspension no contest until 01/05/21, no contact until 12/27/20

Matt Wiman: suspended until 01/20/21, no contact until 01/05/21

Louis Smolka: suspended until 01/05/21, No contest until 12/27/20 for cut on right eyebrow

Jose Alberto Quinonez: suspended until 01/05/21, no contest until 12/27/20

Damon Jackson: must have possible nasal bone fracture cleared by doctor or no contest until 06/04/21; minimum suspension no contest until 02/04/21, no contact until 01/20/21

Jake Collier: must have possible nondisplaced fracture of left lateral orbital wall cleared by ophthalmologist or no contest until 06/04/21; minimum suspension no contest until 02/04/21, no contact until 01/20/21

Gian Villante: suspended until 01/05/21, no contact until 12/27/20 due to contusions
