LFA 69 takes place at the Morongo Outdoor Pavilion at Morongo Casino, Resort & Spa in Cabazon, Calif., on June 7. The main card airs on AXS-TV at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT and will see former Bellator champ Brandon Halsey meet Blake Troop in the light heavyweight co-main event.
Moreno was released from the UFC following a loss to Alexandre Pantoja in May 2018, his second consecutive setback within the Las Vegas-based promotion. The 25-year-old Mexican kicked off his Octagon tenure with victories over Luis Smolka, Ryan Benoit and Dustin Ortiz. “The Assassin Baby” is 14-5 as a professional, with 10 triumphs coming via submission.
A representative for Cuba in the 2008 Olympic games, Perez captured the flyweight championship with a second-round stoppage of Sid Bice at LFA 37. The 35-year-old enters the bout on a four-fight winning streak and is 6-1 in his MMA career overall.
