UFC Vet Gerald Harris Ends Retirement, Meets Aaron Cobb in Legacy FC 63 Headliner

Four-time UFC veteran Gerald Harris has come out of retirement and will face Aaron Cobb in the Legacy Fighting Championship 63 headliner.

The promotion recently announced the welterweight pairing. Legacy FC 63 takes place on Dec. 2 at the Hard Rock Casino in Tulsa, Okla.. The evening’s main card will be televised on AXS-TV.

Harris, 36, initially announced his retirement in April 2014 after a decision victory over Jorge Santiago at Word Series of Fighting 4. Harris went 3-1 during a brief stint in the UFC that included a win over current WSOF middleweight and light heavyweight king David Branch. “Hurricane” is 22-5 over the course of a career that included appearances in the International Fight League, Titan FC, Shark Fights and Dream.

Cobb, meanwhile, hasn’t competed since submitting Jeff Jenkins with an Americana in the opening round at Xtreme Fighting Inc. 7 on March 9, 2013. He is 6-3 as a pro, with five wins by submission and one via technical knockout.

Six other bouts will complete the Legacy FC 63 main card: Trey Houston vs. Levi Queen at welterweight; Jimmy Flick vs. Levi Mowles at bantamweight; Ryan Hayes vs. Arman Ospanov at featherweight; Terry Britton vs. Paul Smith at bantamweight; Canaan Grigsby vs. Bill Smallwood at middleweight; and Kyle Driscoll against an as yet to be announced opponent.
