Part of the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s fight card on June 27 has been filled out.

On Friday, UFC President Dana White spoke with by play-by-play commentator Jon Anik on ESPN’s YouTube to go over an upcoming fight card. UFC on ESPN 12 takes place on June 27, and it will be the final event held in the UFC Apex before the promotion shifts to Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, for a month. Only nine matches were listed, although the promotion stated that more will come soon for the event scheduled to take place in just over two weeks.

Sitting atop the card is a potential lightweight barnburner between Dustin Poirier (25-6, 1 NC) and Dan Hooker (20-8). Poirier will be looking to bounce back from a one-sided championship defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov in September 2019, while Hooker will try to keep it rolling and make it four wins in a row. The two top-ranked lightweights were booked to compete on this June 27 event, although there was a brief concern about Hooker being able to enter the United States from his home country of New Zealand.

A majority of the bouts listed had already been announced, although the lineup has shifted accordingly. A fight between Alexa Grasso and Ji Yeon Kim that was scheduled for the Austin iteration of this June 27 event has officially been pulled from the lineup. A rumored 150-pound catchweight affair between the unbeaten Sean Woodson and Kyle Nelson was confirmed as taking place on the prelims.
