UFC Prague Bonuses: Santos, Struve, Oleksiejczuk, Grant Pocket $50K Apiece

Thiago Santos, Stefan Struve, Dwight Grant and Michal Oleksiejczuk all received $50,000 “Performance of the Night” bonuses for their work at UFC Fight Night 145 in Prague, Czech Republic, on Saturday.

Santos continued his light heavyweight run in impressive fashion, earning a technical knockout of Jan Blachowicz 39 seconds into the third frame of the evening’s main event at the O2 Arena. “Marreta” dropped his foe with a counter left hook and sealed his victory with a barrage of hammerfists to improve to 3-0 at 205 pounds.

Struve, meanwhile, rallied from a horrendous first round to submit Marcos Rogerio de Lima in the co-main event. After being dropped and spending the majority of the opening frame on his back, “Skyscraper rallied to tap Lima with an arm-triangle choke 2:21 into round two to halt a three-fight skid.

Elsewhere, Oleksiejczuk made short work of Gian Villante in a featured light heavyweight encounter. The Polish fighter buckled his foe with a left hook to the liver before finishing Villante with follow-up punches 1:34 into the first round.

Finally, Grant earned his bonus in spectacular fashion, finishing Carlo Pedersoli with one second remaining in the opening round of their preliminary welterweight scrap. When Pedersoli attempted a kick, Grant landed a perfectly-timed right hand that sent his adversary’s mouthpiece flying. A series of punches on the mat brought an end to the contest at the 4:59 mark of the period.
