UFC Heavyweight Derrick Lewis in Instagram Post: ‘My Foot is Broken’

It wasn't just Derrick Lewis' midsection that took damage against Travis Browne.

Lewis, who has quickly become known for his colorful social media presence, posted a video to Instagram on Tuesday, along with the simple text “My foot is broken.” Last Sunday in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Lewis outlasted Travis Browne in their UFC Fight Night headliner, overcoming tough body shots from the Hawaiian in round one before brutally knocking “Hapa” out in round two.

In the video, the 32-year-old Houston native is laying stomach down on an examination table with his right foot wrapped and elevated.

“You ended up beating him in the second, that's pretty tough, my friend” says Lewis' doctor.

“Nah, I been in tougher fights,” Lewis deadpans in response.

Lewis, 9-2 in the UFC, has now won six consecutive bouts in less than 17 months, with five of those six wins coming via knockout.
