Frank Mir and Hector Lombard lost in decidedly different fashions at UFC Fight Night Brisbane this past Saturday, but both are facing potential six-month suspensions in defeat.

The UFC, which acted as its own sanctioning body for the Australian event, released a list of medical suspensions to MixedMartialArts.com on Thursday.

Mir, who suffered a first-round knockout loss to Mark Hunt in the evening’s main event, must be cleared with a head and neck CT scan or be sidelined for 180 days. At a minimum, the former heavyweight king cannot fight for 45 days, with 30 days of no contact.

Lombard, meanwhile, absorbed a tremendous amount of punishment in the second round of his bout against Neil Magny in the co-headliner before falling via TKO 46 seconds into the third stanza of their welterweight bout. “Showeather” must be cleared by a head CT scan before he can compete. Like Mir, he cannot fight for a minimum of 45 days, with 30 days of no contact.

Five other fighters from the card are also facing possible six-month layoffs: Antonio Carlos Jr. (needs ENT clearance); James Te Huna (head); Alan Jouban (left elbow); Richard Walsh (right forearm) and Chad Laprise (right hand). UFC Fight Night Brisbane Medical Suspensions:
