Rozenstruik started his career with 10 straight victories, but has now lost two out of his last three. A TKO victory over former champion Junior dos Santos is sandwiched between a 20-second knockout to Francis Ngannou and a five-round outclassing from Ciryl Gane. "Bigi Boy" will be the slightly lighter fighter, as he weighed in at 254 pounds.
A six-fight win streak for Sakai (15-2) was snapped at the hands and elbows of Alistair Overeem. This is Sakai's first fight since that loss. Prior to the setback, the Brazilian picked up wins over Blagoy Ivanov, Marcin Tybura and Andrei Arlovski. Sakai stepped on the scale at 255.5 pounds.
UFC Fight Night 189 will stream in its entirety on ESPN+. The preliminary card starts at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT, while the main card begins at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.
