The Sports Daily was first to report the matchup. Eubanks and
Moras were originally scheduled to meet at UFC 249 on April 18 in
Brooklyn before that card was postponed due to the coronavirus
pandemic. UFC Fight Night 171 takes place at Vystar Veterans
Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida, on May 13 and is headlined
by a light heavyweight showdown between Anthony
Smith and Glover
Teixeira. The card is expected to air on ESPN and ESPN+.
Eubanks began her promotional tenure with back-to-back victories
but has since dropped consecutive bouts to Aspen Ladd
and Bethe Corriea. The 35-year-old made it to the finals of “The
Ultimate Fighter 26” but couldn’t compete at the show’s finale due
to a failed weight cut.
Moras snapped a three-bout losing streak at UFC 242, where she
earned a third-round technical knockout victory against Liana Jojua
last September. “Cheesecake” is 3-4 in her Octagon tenure and 6-5
as a professional overall.
