UFC Fight Night 171 Gets Drew Dober-Alexander Hernandez Lightweight Bout

The lineup for UFC Fight Night 171 continues to grow, as a lightweight clash pitting Drew Dober against Alexander Hernandez has been added to the May 13 card.

MMAjunkie.com was first to confirm the matchup. UFC Fight Night 171 takes place at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida, and is headlined by a light heavyweight bout between Anthony Smith and Glover Teixeira. The event is expected to air on ESPN and ESPN+.

The 31-year-old Dober has been victorious in five of his last six UFC appearances. He is coming off back-to-back first-round KO/TKO finishes of Marco Polo Reyes and Nasrat Haqparast in his two most recent fights. The Elevation Fight Team product was scheduled to face Diego Ferreira at UFC Oklahoma City on May 2 before that card was canceled.

Hernandez has won three of his first four promotional outings, with his lone defeat coming at the hands of Donald Cerrone at UFC Fight Night 143 in January 2019. The San Antonio, Texas, native outpointed Francisco Trinaldo at UFC on ESPN 4 in his last bout.
