Mike Grundy vs. Nad Narimani

Round 1

We are live from The O2 Arena in London England and the first fight of the night is a featherweight bout between Nad Narimani and Mike Grundy. The referee is Dan Movahedi. They touch gloves and the fight begins. Grundy lands a straight right. He lands a counter left uppercut. Narimani is struggling to find his range early with his punches but lands an inside leg kick. Grundy just misses landing a powerful overhand right. Grundy lands a straight right that stings Narimani. Finally Narimani lands a punch, a left hook. Narimani with a left uppercut. Grundy changes levels and lands the double leg takedown. He is on top of Narimani in side control and transitions to his back but Narimani is able to get back to his feet by using the cage to get up. Grundy still has Narimani pinned against the fence but Narimani is able to break free. Narimani changes levels and looks for a double leg of his own but Grundy stuffs it. Good first round for Grundy.

Round 2

They touch gloves to begin the second round. Grundy lands another straight right. He’s been money with that tonight. Grundy with a short left hook. Narimani is still struggling to find his range. Finally Narimani lands a counter left hook that briefly drops Grundy but he gets right back to his feet. Narimani with a straight right. He’s finally starting to find his range. Grundy changes levels and while he doesn’t complete the double leg takedown he has Narimani in the clinch. Narimani breaks free. He lands a low kick. Grundy once again goes for a double leg takedown but Narimani stuffs it. Low kick by Narimani lands. Narmani with a left uppercut and then a straight right. He has Grundy rocked and on wobbly legs. Grundy is backing up but Narimani is stalking his prey. Narimani just misses landing a high kick. He follows it up with a straight right. Grundy is hurt but lands a brutal left hook that drops Narimani. What a punch. Narimani is able to get back to his feet but he’s badly rocked. Grundy is moving in for the kill and landing some hard left and right hooks on a mostly defenseless opponent. Narimani is backed up against the fence eating punches and the referee steps in and stops the fight for a standing TKO win for Grundy. What a finish! By the way, that was the first knockout win of Grundy's career, and it couldn't have come at a better time than in his UFC debut.

Molly McCann vs. Priscila Cachoeira

Round 1

The ladies of the Octagon are up next as Molly McCann takes on Priscila Cachoeira in a women’s flyweight bout. The referee is Rich Mitchell. They touch gloves and the fight is on. Cachoeira takes the center of the Octagon and lands an overhand right. McCann with a front kick. She ducks down and just misses landing a left hook. McCann with a low kick. She gets in close and lands a short right hook. McCann with a spinning back fist and Cachoeira with a straight hook. They are now swinging in the phone booth and both women are landing short hooks on each other. McCann ducks down and just misses landing a massive left hook that could have ended the fight. Very fast start to this fight so far, which is great to see. Cachoeira lands a hard straight right that backs McCann against the fence but she circles away. McCann just misses landing a straight right of her own. Cachoeira with a superman punch attempt that just misses. McCann changes levels and lands a body lock takedown. She lands on top of Cachoeira and locks her into an arm-triangle choke. Cachoeira is able to get out of it but McCann switches to an armbar. She is trying hard to get the submission but Cachoeira is doing a fine job of defending. McCann readjusts and nearly locks it in this time but doesn’t get it. McCann is on top of Cachoeira and looking for a shoulder lock but Cachoeira scrambles out of it. McCann is sticking to her like glue and is now looking for a bulldog choke. Cachoeira kicks out of it but McCann ends the round on top in full mount. What a great round of action.

Round 2

Round two begins. McCann lands a brutal straight right right off the bat. Cachoeira with a short left hook and McCann with another straight right. McCann ducks down and lands a left hook. Spinning back fist by McCann lands. McCann with a straight right. Cachoeira lands a nice jab. McCann changes levels and looks for a single leg takedown but Cachoeira stuffs it. The pace of the fight is starting to slow down now after that crazy first round. McCann with a brutal right hook but somehow Cachoeira doesn’t seem phased. Another right hook by McCann lands. She lands a brutal left hook, and then another. Low kick by McCann. Cachoeira lands a step-in knee to the body. McCann just misses landing a left hook but lands a right hook behind it. Another left hook by McCann. She dives in for a double leg takedown but Cachoeira stuffs it yet again. Cachoeira lands a solid left hook of her own. Cachoeira lands a hard jab that pushes McCann backwards. Right uppercut by McCann. The 10-second clapper rings and they exchange big hooks up close and then give each other a hug at the end of the round.

Round 3

Round three begins and they give each other a nice show of sportsmanship. McCann catches a kick by Cachoeira and gets her to the mat. She is working for a guillotine choke but Cachoeira is able to get back to her feet. McCann with a big left hook. She is stalking down McCann now, who looks to have an eye injury. The commentators relay information that a clean right hook did the damage to McCann’s eye. Cachoeira is walking down McCann, who should be looking for a takedown at this point due to the damage to her eye. Cachoeira lands a right hook. McCann with a left hook of her own, but there’s no steam behind it. Cachoeira with a jab and she continues to walk down McCann. Cachoeira with a right uppercut but McCann circles away. McCann ducks down and lands a big left hook. Cachoeira gets McCann in the Thai plum and lands a hard knee to the face of McCann, whose eye looks badly injured. The referee calls timeout as McCann’s eye is badly injured. The doctor asks McCann if she can see and she says yes. The fight is back on. They touch gloves and Cachoeira lands a bit of a cheap shot with a knee off the glove touch. The ref calls time due to an eye poke and warns Cachoeira. The fight is back on. There’s 30 seconds left now and Cachoeira needs a finish. McCann is just circling away at this point and trying to get to the end of the fight. The 10-second clapper rings and McCann flips off Cachoeira at the horn and the fight is over. Great fight!

Round 1

It’s time for another featherweight fight as Dan Ige takes on Danny Henry. The referee for this bout is Marc Goddard. They touch gloves and the fight begins. Henry takes the center of the Octagon immediately. He lands a hard low kick. Ige with a left hook and then circles away. Ige darts inside and lands a clean left hook that drops Henry. Now Henry is on the mat and Ige is landing hard short punches that are hurting Henry but he gets back to his feet. Ige is able to take his back in the transition and drags Henry back down to the mat. Ige has a rear-naked choke locked in and Henry is in big trouble. The choke is super tight and the fight is over. Wow, that was quick.

Nicolae Negumereanu vs. Saparbek Safarov

Round 1

Up next is a light heavyweight tilt between Nicolae Negumereanu and Saparbek Safarov. The referee in charge of this bout is Leon Roberts. They touch gloves and the bout begins. Safarov takes the center of the Octagon and lands a hard low kick that is countered by a Negumereanu overhand right hand. Safarov moves inside and lands a straight right and then clinches up Negumereanu against the cage. They exchange knees in the clinch. Safarov is grabbing the fence and the ref is warning him but doesn’t take a point away. Safarov lands a single leg takedown but Negumereanu is looking for a kimura. Safarov is now on top of Negumereanu in his guard. Safarov is landing some nice ground and pound from the top. Negumereanu manages to scramble out and is looking for an ankle lock but Safarov grabs the fence. Roberts pauses the fight and finally takes one point away from Safarov for grabbing the cage. The fight is back on. Safarov lands a high kick and then a left hook. Hard low kick by Safarov and he then ducks down for a double leg takedown but Negumereanu stuffs it. The 10-second clapper rings and the first round is over.

Round 2

Round two begins. Once again Safarov is taking the center of the Octagon and has Negumereanu backing up. Safarov rocks Negumereanu with a left hook but he appears to be okay. Negumereanu lands a left hook and has Safarov backing up but Safarov ducks down and completes a double leg takedown. Negumereanu scrambles once again and is looking for another ankle lock but Safarov gets out of it once again by grabbing the fence. He lands some heavy punches and then dives down into the guard of Negumereanu. Safarov is doing a good job landing ground and pound from the top. Hard elbows by Safarov from the top. This is a very effective round for him. He moves into full mount but Negumereanu bucks him off. Safarov gets back into full mount and keeps landing strikes but Negumereanu manages to make it to the end of the round.

Round 3

Third and final round. Safarov moves forward and ducks under for a double leg takedown once again. Safarov gets the takedown and is on top of Negumereanu in his full guard. Safarov continues to land ground and pound on Negumereanu’s face. Safarov is in side control and is looking for a kimura now. He lets go of the arm and lands more ground and pound. Negumereanu cannot get up and continues to take damage. Safarov is doing a great job of staying strong on top and controlling Negumereanu. Safarov continues to hold Negumereanu down and land punches and elbows from the top as the clock runs down and the fight is finally over.

Duffy with a low kick right away. Diakiese returns one of his own. Diakiese with a long jab to the body. Duffy with a low kick and Diakiese returns one of his own. Duffy with a superman punch. He changes levels and completes a double leg takedown but Diakiese gets right back up to his feet. Diakiese breaks free. Another low kick by Duffy and then he nearly lands a question mark kick. Duffy with a hard jab. Diakiese with a spinning back kick. Diakiese with a low kick but Duffy checks it nicely. Diakiese with a low kick that drops Duffy, but he gets right back up. Another low kick by Diakiese. Duffy returns one of his own. Diakiese just misses landing a spinning wheel kick as Duffy steps to his side. Diakiese lands a hard knee and then another low kick lands. Duffy dives in for a double leg takedown but Diakiese sprawls and stuffs it. Another low kick by Diakiese and Duffy appears to be hurt. Diakiese digs in a right hook to the body. He lands a lead elbow to the temple of Duffy that drops Duffy to the mat. Duffy recovers quickly and gets back up. Diakiese with another low kick. He looks fantastic tonight. Diakiese with a body kick. He lands a left hook then moves away. The 10-second clapper rings and the round is soon over.

Round 2

Round two begins. Duffy has switched to a southpaw stance and his left leg was eaten up by Diakiese’s low kicks. Diakiese with another spinning wheel kick that grazes Duffy. Diakiese is able to get the clinch and then take Duffy down with a body lock takedown. Diakiese is on top in the full guard of Duffy now. The referee decides to break the ground game up with a very quick and surprising standup. Diakiese with a right hook and then another hard low kick. Duffy lands a nice left hook of his own. He’s now walking forward on Diakiese, who appears to be tiring a bit now. Duffy clinches Diakiese up against the cage but Diakiese breaks free. He lands another lead elbow on the break and then just misses landing a high kick. Duffy continues to move forward but Diakiese is doing a good job of countering him with low kicks as he walks forward. Diakiese grabs Duffy and then moves to the back of Duffy and takes him down with the body lock takedown. Duffy gets back to his feet but Diakiese is landing hard knees to his thigh against the fence. Diakiese continues to push Duffy against the fence until the end of the round.

Round 3

The third and final round begins. Duffy needs a finish if he want to win this fight. Diakiese with a flying tornado kick that just misses landing on Duffy’s chin. Another high kick by Diakiese lands. Right hook to the body and then a left hook by Diakiese lands. Another low kick by him. He’s just picking Duffy apart. Duffy lands a jab that pushes Diakiese backwards, but he continues to land that low kick anytime Duffy gets close. Diakiese grabs a hold of Duffy and drags him to the mat with a body lock takedown. Duffy gets up but Diakiese continues to hold him in the clinch against the fence. Duffy pulls guard and Diakiese is on top of him landing elbows from half guard. Diakiese is doing a tremendous job of controlling Duffy on the mat and is looking to take his back. Duffy scrambles out but Diakiese continues to hold him until the final bell. Very clean, impressive performance tonight by Diakiese that will snap his three-fight losing streak.

Round 1

The last preliminary bout is a featherweight bout between Arnold Allen and Jordan Rinaldi. The referee is Leon Roberts. Rinaldi with a low kick right off the bat. Allen with a long straight left. Rinaldi lands a body kick but Allen catches it and throws him to the mat. Allen lands some chopping kicks to the thighs of Rinaldi. These are some hard kicks but Rinaldi is doing nothing to try and scramble to his feet. Finally the referee lets Rinaldi stand back up. Rinaldi looks for a straight right but Allen moves away. Rinaldi with a low kick. Allen with another straight left. Rinaldi with a low kick. Allen just misses landing a spinning wheel kick. Allen lands a high kick at the 10-second clapper that buzzes Rinaldi but he doesn’t have enough time left to take advantage of it and the round is over.

Round 2

Round two begins. Allen takes the center of the Octagon again, but Rinaldi continues to have problems reaching him. There isn’t much happening this round as neither fighter is able to land anything significant. Rinaldi changes levels and looks for a double leg but Allen stuffs it. Rinaldi lands a low kick. Rinaldi catches Allen with a straight right. Low kick by Rinaldi. Allen with a jab. Rinaldi lands a straight right, maybe his best strike of the round. Rinaldi with another low kick and then shoots for a double leg that is stuffed by Allen. Rinaldi lands another low kick, and another. He’s finally found his range. Allen with a straight left to the body that backs Rinaldi up and then lands a left hook to the body. Another straight left by Allen lands to the chin of Rinaldi. He’s doing a fantastic job of countering. Rinaldi with a straight right to the body of his own and then Allen returns the favor with a straight left of his own. The 10-second clapper rights and Allen moves in and swarms Rinaldi, dropping him with a left hook right at the buzzer, but he doesn't have enough time left to capitalize.

Round 3

Round three begins and Rinaldi needs a finish if he wants to win this fight. Rinaldi continues to miss the first strike and get countered by Allen, which has been the story of this fight. Rinaldi lands a hard body kick. Allen catches Rinaldi with a straight left that hurts the eye of Rinaldi but the ref says the strike was clean and doesn’t call time. Allen with a body shot and he has Rinaldi hurt and swarms on him but Rinaldi recovers quickly and breaks free. Allen continues to do a good job of evading any strike Rinaldi throws at him. There’s a minute left in this fight and Rinaldi needs a finish but he seems very reserved considering how far down he is on the scorecards. Allen with a straight left to the body and then lands a left high kick. Rinaldi with a straight right of his own but Allen isn’t phased by it. Rinaldi with a body kick and Allen returns fire with a left hook. There’s 10 seconds left and Allen starts to swarm Rinaldi once again but the round and fight are over. Not a great fight, but Allen surely will get his hand raised.

Jack Marshman vs. John Phillips

Round 1

The first fight of the main card is a middleweight bout between John Phillips and Jack Marshman. This is technically a catchweight bout of 188lbs as Marshman missed weight. The referee in charge of this bout is Marc Goddard. They touch gloves and the fight begins. Marshman comes out orthodox while Phillips is the southpaw. Phillips plods forward and connects with a massive straight left that backs Marshman up against the fence. Phillips has Marshman in the clinch against the cage now. They break. Phillips with a low kick. He lands a right hook as Marshman looks to get inside. Phillips with a right uppercut as Marshman dives in for a takedown. Marshman connects on a huge right hook and Marshman falls down crashing to the mat. Instead of going down to the mat for the kill, Phillips bows to Marshman and lets him up. They high five once he gets up. Marshman lands a straight right of his own now. Phillips continues to stalk Marshman, who continues to circle away. Marshman with a high kick that Phillips blocks with his arms. Marshman connects on a counter left hook but Phillips isn’t phased by it. Marshman with a kick to the body of Phillips, who just misses landing another right hook and the round is over.

Round 2

Round two begins. Phillips once again takes the center of the Octagon with Marshman on the outside circling around him Phillips lands a straight left. Marshman with a kick to the body. Phillips continues to stalk Marshman, with neither man throwing much volume in this fight. Phillips lands another straight left that backs Marshman up briefly. Low kick by Phillips. Marshman lands a hard body kick and then a left hook that drops Phillips. That was by far the best moment he had all night. Marshman with another kick to the body. Marshman with a straight right and then a left hook to the body. His body work is starting to take its toll on Phillips, who is slowing down considerably. Phillips with a right hook to the body of Marshman now. Marshman with a straight right and he continues to circle away. Marshman with a left hook and once again he circles away. Much better round for Marshman.

Round 3

The third and final round begins. Whoever wins this round will get their hand raised. Once again Phillips has the center of the cage while Marshman is exhibiting solid footwork and moving away from any power strikes thrown his way. Marshman lands a nice body kick to the stomach of Phillips. Marshman continues to circle and land counter strikes when Phillips gets close to him. Marshman with a nice jab and he continues to move away. Phillips finally gets in close and lands an overhand left. Marshman circles and Phillips lands a right hook. Phillips lands a low kick. Left hook by Phillips. Straight left by Phillis now. He’s starting to find a lot of success now. Last 10 seconds of the fight and Phillips lands an overhand left and the fight is over.

Round 1

It’s now time for the welterweights as Claudio Silva takes on Danny Roberts. The referee is Kevin Sataki. No touch of gloves between these two. Silva with a low kick right away. Silva with an overhand left and goes in to grab Roberts, who circles away. Another low kick by Silva, and another. Roberts with a high kick that is blocked by Silva. Another low kick by Silva. He gets in close on Roberts and drags him to the mat with a body lock takedown. Silva is now on top of Roberts with plenty of time to work and both men are dry. Silva is in half guard and is looking to gain mount. He’s working on an arm-triangle choke now and uses it to get into side control. Silva is staying heavy in side control and is doing a great job of controlling Roberts on the mat. Silva looks to move into mount but Roberts gets him into half guard. Silva now moves into mount and is raining down punches from the top. He locks in an arm-triangle choke from mount and Roberts is in huge trouble. Somehow Roberts is able to escape from danger and sweep Silva and land on top, where he rains down punches of his own. Impressive sweep there by Roberts, but the round is over.

Round 2

Round two begins. Silva once again leads with a low kick to begin the round. Roberts connects with a big right hook and Silva is in trouble. But he ducks under and scores a double leg takedown. Silva is on top of Roberts and nearly takes his back but instead moves into full mount. Roberts uses the cage to sweep but the referee calls time and says he’s not allowed to use his toes in the fence. Silva is back in mount and has three minutes to work. He transitions to the back and then moves back into mount. Silva is working on an arm-triangle choke but Roberts is able to sweep him. Now Roberts is on top working in the full guard of Silva. Now Silva looks for a sweep of his own and uses it to get to his feet. Roberts with a left hook and he has Silva hurt. Silva grabs onto him and they are in the clinch. Roberts with a left hook but Silva is able to grab his body and take him to the mat again. Silva now has Roberts against the fence and gets both his hooks in. He has the back of Roberts now and is looking to flatten him out and get the rear-naked choke. But Roberts is able to sweep him and get out of it. There’s not much time left and the round is over. What a round!

Round 3

Round three begins. Roberts drops Silva with a left hook. He’s now on top of Silva on the ground landing some nasty elbows from the top. Silva is desperately trying to lock onto Roberts and stop Roberts from landing fight-ending ground and pound. Silva grabs a leg of Roberts and is looking for a heel hook. Roberts scrambles out of it and is back on top of Silva in his full guard. Silva’s face is cut open and bleeding but he locks in an armbar and Roberts could be in big trouble. Roberts stacks him and slams Silva to the mat but Silva holds onto the armbar. He manages to flip Roberts over with the armbar intact and the referee jumps in and stops the fight due to verbal submission. Amazing finish to an amazing fight.

Nathaniel Wood vs. Jose Alberto Quinonez

Round 1

We now have a bantamweight bout between Nathaniel Wood and Jose Quinonez. The referee for this fight is Rich Mitchell. No touch of gloves. Wood lands a straight right down the pipe. He ducks under a kick from Quinonez and gets into the clinch. Now Quinonez has Wood against the fence and is looking for a body lock takedown and completes it. Quinonez is in side control now on Wood but Wood is able to sweep Quinonez. Wood briefly takes the back of Quinonez but decides to get back to his feet instead. Wood with a left hook. Quinonez with a low kick that Wood checks. They exchange low kicks. Wood with another left hook that stuns Quinonez and backs him up. Quinonez recovers quickly but Wood knocks him back down with a jab and is now looking for a D’arce choke. This is one of Wood’s signature moves. But Quinonez is able to scramble and get back to his feet. Wood with a right hook. Hard low kick by Wood. He stings Quinonez with a straight right. Another left hook by Wood. He locks onto a body lock takedown and gets it just before the end of the round.

Round 2

Round two begins. Wood with a low kick that drops Quinonez but he gets up quickly. Wood with a straight right and he has Quinonez backing up now. Quinonez locks up Wood in the clinch and is looking for a body lock takedown but Wood defends it well and they break. Another straight right by Wood lands. Quinonez lands a straight right of his own. Once again Quinonez gets the clinch and is looking for a body lock takedown but Wood outside trips him and gets the fight to the ground. Wood takes the back of Quinonez in the transition and has the rear-naked choke locked in tight. A second later and Quinonez is forced to tap, giving Wood the submission win in front of all his fans in England.

Volkan Oezdemir vs. Dominick Reyes

Round 1

It’s time for one of the most highly-anticipated fights on the card, a light heavyweight matchup between Volkan Oezdemir and Dominick Reyes. The third man in the Octagon is Leon Roberts. No touch of gloves between these two. Reyes with a low kick right away. Reyes with a high kick that is barely blocked by Oezdemir. Reyes with a straight left. He drops Oezdemir with a low kick. Jab from Reyes. He’s looking sharp so far. Oezdemir catches him with a right straight of his own. Body kick by Oezdemir. Low kick by Reyes but it catches Oezdemir in the groin and the ref calls time. Oezdemir is fine and the fight is back on with no warnings or points deducted. Oezdemir catches Reyes with a right hook. He then lands a nasty low kick that takes the legs of Reyes away. Reyes is able to get back up but Oezdemir is clinching him against the cage. Reyes breaks free. Low kick by Reyes. Oezdemir gets inside and is able to land a body lock takedown on Reyes, who is able to get back to his feet. Reyes connects on a short left hook. Oezdemir catches a kick and then attacks Reyes with a couple short hooks of his own. Body kick by Oezdemir. Another low kick by Oezdemir and the round is soon over.

Round 2

Round two begins. They touch gloves. Low kick by Reyes and Oezdemir returns fire with a straight right. Another low kick by Oezdemir and another. Reyes with a kick to the body. Low kick by Reyes, and Oezdemir returns fire with one of his own. Reyes with a straight left. Reyes changes levels and looks for a single leg takedown but Oezdemir defends it nicely. Reyes with a right hook but Oezdemir doesn’t appear hurt at all and continues to walk forward. Oezdemir returns with a right hook of his own, and then a follow-up knee to the body. Low kick by Reyes. He looks for a body lock takedown but Oezdemir stuffs it. Straight left by Reyes. Another low kick by Reyes lands. He’s starting to find his range now. Oezdemir with a low kick. Reyes lands a counter straight right. Oezdemir shoots in for a late double leg takedown but Reyes defends it and the round is over.

Round 3

The third and final round begins and the two touch gloves. It’s likely tied at this point, but Oezdemir could be up two rounds. Reyes with a low kick but Oezdemir uses it as a chance to close the distance and land a body lock takedown. Reyes quickly gets back to his feet. Oezdemir with a low kick. Reyes moves in and lands two right hooks to the head of a retreating Oezdemir. Now Oezdemir lands a straight right of his own. He throws a high kick that Reyes blocks. Oezdemir changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown but Reyes stuffs it. Reyes with a big knee to the body. It looks like Oezdemir has slowed down significantly as Reyes is now marching forward and landing on him at will. Straight left by Reyes and Oezdemir’s arms are at his side as he appears gassed out. Reyes with a left and right hook and then he stuffs a poor takedown attempt by Oezdemir. There’s not much time left and this fight could still go either way. Reyes with a straight left. A right hook to the body by Reyes. Close fight and it could go either way on the scorecards.

Round 1

The co-main event is upon us, a welterweight bout between Leon Edwards and Gunnar Nelson. The official in charge of the action is Kevin Sataki. They touch gloves and the fight is on. Nelson with a kick to the body. He gets inside and has Edwards against the fence. He uses a body lock takedown to get Edwards to the mat. Edwards gets back up but Nelson gets him back down again. Edwards is able to get back to his feet but Nelson is still shoving him against the fence. Edwards reverses Nelson on the fence and lands a body lock takedown of his own. He has the back of Nelson now but instead of looking for the submission seems content to punch Nelson in the face. Edwards is looking to get his arm wrapped around the neck of Nelson, but Nelson is defending it well. Nelson is able to get back to his feet but Edwards is sticking to him like glue. Edwards lands another body lock takedown and nearly takes the back of Nelson but he gets back to his feet. Front kick to the body by Edwards. 10 seconds left, nothing significant happens, and the round is over.

Round 2

They touch gloves to begin round two. Nelson lands a high kick that is partially blocked by Edwards. They remain at distance and throw light kicks at each other’s bodies and legs. Finally Nelson is able to close the distance and get into the clinch but Edwards is doing a good job of remaining upright. Edwards breaks from the clinch and lands and elbow on the break. Nelson gets inside once again and has Edwards against the cage. Edwards reverses the position and they break. Nelson lands a straight right and closes the distance once again, shoving Edwards against the cage. Edwards lands a nice knee to the body from the clinch and breaks away. Nelson closes the distance once again and gets the clinch but Edwards connects on a straight right. Edwards connects on a big counter left elbow and knocks Nelson to the ground. Edwards follows him down to the mat and starts smashing Nelson with ground and pound. Nelson is able to get into his guard but he’s badly hurt and has a massive rat under his eyes. Edwards doesn’t have enough time to finish the fight as the round is over.

Round 3

Round three begins and Nelson absolutely needs a finish at this point. Nelson gets inside and looks for a body lock takedown. He switches to a single leg and then a double leg but Edwards defends both and circles away. Nelson goes back into the clinch but once again Edwards shakes him free. Nelson lands a straight right and is able to clinch up with Edwards and get the fight to the mat with a body lock takedown. He moves into full mount and has 30 seconds left to get a finish. Nelson is whacking Edwards in the head but Edwards is clinging on for dear life. Nelson hangs out in mount until the final bell, but it’s likely not enough.

We have finally arrived at the main event of the evening, a five-round welterweight bout between Jorge Masvidal and Darren Till. The referee for the headliner is Marc Goddard. Masvidal comes out right away and kicks Till in the groin. It was maybe one of the quickest low blows we’ve ever seen. The referee calls time back in, they touch gloves, and the fight is back on. Till drops Masvidal with a straight left. Till follows him right to the mat but Masvidal is able to scramble to his feet. Masvidal catches a kick by Till and lands a straight right of his own. Till catches a kick of Masvidal and takes him to the ground. Masvidal gets back to his feet. Kick to the body by Masvidal. Low kick by Masvidal. Till catches Masvidal with a short right hook. Masvidal changes levels and goes for a single leg takedown but uses it to throw punches at Till. Another straight left by Till. He has Masvidal backed up against the cage now. Another straight left by Till. They exchange low kicks. Masvidal with a left hook, maybe his best strike of the fight thus far. He lands another left hook on Till. Now Till clinches Masvidal against the fence. Another straight left by Till. Masvidal with a kick to the body in the final 10 secons. After a hectic first round, it’s over.

Round 2

Round two starts and they touch gloves. Till is backing Masvidal up against the fence once again. He’s looking to land that straight left but Masvidal is doing a good job countering with low kicks. Masvidal with a straight right and Till accidentally pokes Masvidal in the eye. Goddard pauses the fight and the doctor comes into the Octagon to look at Masvidal, who says he’s fine. The doctor says he’s fine and Goddard restarts the action. Masvidal changes levels and lands a double leg takedown and then transitions to the back of Till. But Till does a good job of getting back to his feet. Masvidal is clinching Till against the fence but Till escapes. Low kick by Till. Masvidal returns with a right hook counter. Till with a solid jab but Masvidal returns with a hard body kick. Masvidal catches Till with a giant right hand. Masvidal catches Till with a left hook and he’s down! Till falls to the floor and Masvidal goes down and finishes him with punches. Till is completely out cold and Masvidal just picked up the biggest win of his career to date.
