UFC on ESPN 6 took place at TD Garden in Boston and saw Dominick Reyes defeat Chris Weidman via first-round knockout in the light heavyweight headliner. Ratings peaked at 1 million viewers for the evening’s main event, which marked the 205-pound debut for Weidman, a former middleweight titlist with the Las Vegas-based promotion.

The average audience is the second-lowest for a UFC on ESPN card, but all of the previous five cards aired on the Worldwide Leader’s main network.

UFC on ESPN 6 also faced some stiff sports competition on Friday night, including the American League Championship Series between the Houston Astros and the New York Yankees as well as college football on both ESPN and the Big Ten Network.

In addition to Reyes vs. Weidman, UFC on ESPN 6 featured a grudge match between Yair Rodriguez and Jeremy Stephens in the co-main event and the fourth Octagon appearance from controversial former NFL Pro Bowler Greg Hardy.
