Jarred Brooks vs. Roberto Sanchez

Round 1

Both men test the distance with jabs before Sanchez finds the mark with a straight right hand. Sanchez shoots low and puts Brooks' back against the fence; as he completes the takedown, however, Sanchez finds himself in danger of having his back taken by Brooks, who is draped across Sanchez's back, looking for a slick transition. Sanchez finally puts Brooks on the mat about 90 seconds in, and now he's hunting for the neck of the "Monkey God," looking for a guillotine while trying to step over to full mount. Brooks counters by rolling for a heel hook, forcing Sanchez to abandon the dominant position. Sanchez lands a few hammerfists but can't clear the leg, and Brooks continues to try the heel hook. Brooks eats a few more punches but seems unconcerned as he switches to an inside heel hook. With 65 seconds left, Brooks abandons the sub attempt and explodes to his feet, though he's held against the fence by Sanchez with a high single-leg. Sanchez throws knees to the legs and body of Brooks while trying unsuccessfully to trip him back to the ground.

Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Sanchez
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Sanchez
Mike Sloan scores the round 10-9 Sanchez

Round 2

Brooks secures a takedown early in round two, but Sanchez keeps a tight guard, leading to a bit of a stalemate on the ground. Brooks maintains the position for the majority of the round, keeping a grueling, grinding pace as he wears on Sanchez from the top. Finally, in the last 30 seconds, Brooks starts to ramp up his ground-and-pound, hitting Sanchez with some solid shots just before the horn.

Sherdog Scores

Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Brooks
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Brooks
Mike Sloan scores the round 10-9 Brooks

Round 3

Sanchez goes straight after another takedown as the final round begins, but Sanchez keeps his footing through the first minute by keeping a wide base up against the fence. Brooks completes the takedown after about 90 seconds, landing in side control on Sanchez's right side, with Sanchez's feet pointed at the wall. Brooks lands a few knees to the body, then catches Sanchez in a front headlock as the Texan tries to climb back to his feet. Brooks forces Sanchez down to his back again; Sanchez continues to fight from the bottom, trying to escape or set up a submission, but he's running out of time with under one minute on the clock. Once again, Brooks picks up the pace a bit in the last 30 seconds, clubbing Sanchez with some heavy right hands, but the final horn sounds and this one will go to the judges.

Sherdog Scores

Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Brooks (29-28 Brooks)

Irene Aldana vs. Lucie Pudilova

Round 1

Pudilova keeps Aldana on the end of her jab in the opening minute, but Aldana reclaims some ground immediately with a clean right hand. Pudilova switches stances as she continues to press forward, but again Aldana finds the mark with her right hand, reddening the left side of Czech fighter's face. Both bantamweights are connecting with heavy right hands, but it's Aldana mixing in some leg kicks as she works off her back foot. Now it's Aldana taking a turn coming forward, landing a jab but eating a right hand counter in return. Pudilova seems to gain some confidence from this exchange, as she reverses course and starts marching on Aldana again in the final minute of the round. Pudilova backs up Aldana to the fence and lands another right hand, then a few leg kicks. A front kick to the face appears to sting Aldana, who partially connects with a spinning backfist as Pudilova blitzes her in the final 10 seconds.

Sherdog Scores

Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Pudilova
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Pudilova
Mike Sloan scores the round 10-9 Pudilova

Round 2

After some early pressure from the Mexican fighter, Pudilova tags Aldana with another clean right hand in the opening 30 seconds of the round. Pudilova is showing more variety with her strikes now, firing leg kicks and front kicks in between her punches. Aldana takes a left high kick on the neck, then exchanges jabs with Pudilova. Aldana has a leg kick checked, then gets slammed with another straight right hand to the chin, splitting her guard. Pudilova finally connects with a nice Superman punch after a few attempts. Pudilova looks to have taken her foot off the gas toward the middle of the round, allowing Aldana to re-establish her range with leg kicks before landing a lead uppercut. Aldana turns the head of a bloody-nosed Pudilova with a clean right hand, but Pudilova stuffs a takedown and feeds Aldana a hard elbow strike in the final 10 seconds.

Sherdog Scores

Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Aldana
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Aldana
Mike Sloan scores the round 10-9 Pudilova

Round 3

Aldana opens the final round with a hard leg kick, prompting Pudilova to charge forward with a wild combination. Pudilova absorbs a few more low kicks before planting a kick on Aldana's midsection. The next leg kicks leaves Pudilova hobbling, trying to regain the balance on her left leg. Aldana stays inside too long and gets cleared out with a Pudilova right hand. An uppercut connects for Pudilova, and now the bantamweights trade simultaneous jabs. Pudilova's face is a bloody mess, but it's not stopping her from coming forward on Aldana. Nonetheless, Aldana's footwork and head movement appear to have her on track to win this round, and perhaps the fight, as her opponent begins to fade. With two minutes left, Aldana's face is smeared with blood, too, and suddenly it's Pudilova bringing the pressure. Pudilova backs up Aldana with a combination, then jams the Mexican against the fence, but Aldana escapes after dinging Pudilova with a clinch knee. With 45 seconds left, it's Pudilova pressuring Aldana around the outside, both women landing jabs as they circle close to one another. Aldana lands a leg kick but gets slammed with a vicious elbow in the final 10 seconds. This fight will be decided by the judges, who have a tall task on their hand after a very close fight.

Sherdog Scores

Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Pudilova (29-28 Pudilova)
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Aldana (29-28 Aldana)
Mike Sloan scores the round 10-9 Aldana (29-28 Pudilova)

Jim Miller vs. Alex White

Round 1

The southpaws square off in the center of the cage, with White landing an early left hand and Miller connecting with a few hard leg kicks. Miller comes over the top with a straight left of his own, then lands another moments later that sends White staggering backward. Miller runs White to the floor, but instead of trying to pound out his dazed opponent, the New Jersey native wraps up White's neck and forces a near-instant tap with a rear-naked choke. Jim Miller produces the evening's first finish and snaps a four-fight losing streak with his first submission win since 2014.

The Official Result

Jim Miller def. Alex White via Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) R1 1:29

Diego Sanchez vs. Craig White

Round 1

Sanchez rushes across the cage and throws a wild right hand at White, who slips the punch and backs up to the fence. Sanchez changes levels for a shot and gets caught in a headlock, but the veteran breaks White's grip by lifting and slamming him to the ground. White throws up a triangle, can't cinch it, and instead releases to pop the standing Sanchez with an upkick. Sanchez postures up in White's guard, jamming the Englishman against the base of the fence to land some short punches. White creates some space and tries to wall-walk out of the bad position, but Sanchez keeps hold of the legs to maintain top position. Sanchez slams White with a few short elbows as they hit the halfway point of round one. White opens his guard to try and escape, but instead he's stacked up and cracked with a pair of hard right hands. Sanchez moves to side control and frames up an arm-triangle choke, but he's on the wrong side to finish. Sanchez is looking for a crucifix or a kimura, leaning across White's body. Sanchez stands up and hits White with some more standing punches as the final 30 seconds tick down. Sanchez finishes the round straddling White's head, landing right hands to the face.

Sherdog Scores

Brian Knapp scores the round 10-8 Sanchez
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-8 Sanchez
Mike Sloan scores the round 10-8 Sanchez

Round 2

White whiffs on a knee but stuffs Sanchez's subsequent takedown attempt. Sanchez's tenacity on the shot pays off, as his next effort puts White on his back, once again near the fence. Sanchez stands to drop punches and gets stung with an upkick; "The Nightmare" drops down to White's guard, possibly the result of a flash knockdown, but Sanchez regains his sesnses quickly. White is wrapping up Sanchez in his guard, successfully slowing the American's assault through the midway point of the round. White's upkick continues to be his most effective weapon, as another one finds the chin of Sanchez. Despite eating the upkicks, Sanchez hasn't given White an inch to escape, and now the Jackson-Wink MMA fighter straddles White's head to drop some hard punches.

Sherdog Scores

Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Sanchez
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Sanchez
Mike Sloan scores the round 10-8 Sanchez

Round 3

White hurts Sanchez with a body kick, then drops him with a right hand in the first 15 seconds of the round. Sanchez recovers quickly, however, and sits up to drive forward and complete yet another takedown. White finds himself on his back once again, with Sanchez in his guard, landing elbows to the face of the "Thundercat." Sanchez is working at a slower pace now, taking a moment to wrap up and pin White to the canvas. White kicks him away but can't find enough room to escape to his feet, and Sanchez continues his ground-and-pound assault from the top. With two minutes left, it's a familiar sight, with White trying in vain to kick off the fence, while Sanchez lands short ground strikes and keeps heavy top pressure. Sanchez is in side control, still looking for a mounted crucifix, but White won't allow his arms to be trapped. Forced back to White's guard, Sanchez pops his opponent with short elbow and shoulder strikes. White tries to produce a late finish with a flurry of upkicks, but Sanchez deflects them and rides out the remainder of the round on top.

Sherdog Scores

Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Sanchez (30-26 Sanchez)
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Sanchez (30-26 Sanchez)
Mike Sloan scores the round 10-9 Sanchez (30-25 Sanchez)

The Official Result

Diego Sanchez def. Craig White via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) R3 5:00

Charles Byrd vs. Darren Stewart

Round 1

Byrd grazes Stewart with an overhand right, then takes a jab on the grill from "The Dentist." Stewart is able to shut down Byrd's first takedown attempt, but the Texan keeps him trapped on the fence as they clinch with over-unders. The middleweights separate about 90 seconds into the round, and Byrd blasts his way forward with a pair of right hands for Stewart's chin. Byrd clinches up behind the strikes, trips Stewart to the ground but can't keep him there. Stewart breaks up a guillotine attempt as he stands, but halfway through the round, Byrd continues to control the action in the clinch. Byrd lands a pair of standing elbows as he exits the clinch and backs up to the center of the cage. Stewart blocks a left high kick but freezes up and eats another right hand behind it, then gets tied up again. One minute remains as the 185ers separate; 20 seconds later, Byrd is diving for another double-leg. It's unsuccessful, but Byrd's takedown attempt puts Stewart's back against the wall yet again.

Sherdog Scores

Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Byrd
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Byrd
Mike Sloan scores the round 10-9 Byrd

Round 2

Byrd opens with a leg kick as he backs up Stewart to the fence once again. Once they hit the wall, Stewart lands a knee to the body, but Byrd is suffocating him with pressure, not allowing the heavy-handed Londoner to get going with his strikes. A blasting right hand sends Stewart backpedaling, looking at the ground, but Byrd isn't able to put him away and instead opts to clinch again. Suddenly, Stewart breaks out of the tie-up and puts Byrd on the run with a heavy combination. Stewart walks down Byrd and rocks him with another right hand. Byrd is in trouble, covering his head and turning his back as he tries to walk away from Stewart. "The Dentist" smells blood and gives Byrd no chance to recover, slamming away with strikes until an elbow to the temple finally causes Byrd to hit the deck. Byrd is on the canvas in a purely defensive position when referee Jacob Montalvo steps in to save the downed Texan from any further damage.

The Official Result

Darren Stewart def. Charles Byrd via TKO (Punches and Elbows) R2 2:17

Frank Camacho vs. Geoff Neal

Round 1

Neal works from southpaw stance in the early going, firing a pair of punches down the middle to rattle Camacho's head. "Frank the Crank" presses forward undeterred, picking at Neal's lead leg with inside low kicks. Neal narrowly misses with a left straight, then has a left high kick blocked. Camacho continues to bring the pressure, jabbing at Neal's body but not comitting to any big attacks. Neal plunks Camacho with a left hand over the top, then slides out of the pocket before the Saipan native can retaliate. Camacho wanders into the pocket and gets popped with another straight left. Neal lands another glancing high kick, then a quick combination before Camacho clinches up and presses him against the wall. Neal is free again before the one-minute warning, and his next combination leaves Camacho with a cut around his left eye. Camacho telegraphs a double-leg and pays for it as Neal steps off and slugs him with a left. Right at the 10-second clapper, Neal floors Camacho with a left straight, then tries desperately to pound him out. Camacho barely survives to hear the horn, then gives a wink to referee Dan Miragliotta, who mercifully allowed Camacho to stay in the fight.

Sherdog Scores

Brian Knapp scores the round 10-8 Neal
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-8 Neal
Mike Sloan scores the round 10-8 Neal

Round 2

Camacho goes looking for an early takedown and once again gets punished by Neal's hands. Camacho eats this and the follow-up combinations, standing with his back to the fence and swinging back, even as he's outboxed by the faster, more accurate punches of Neal. The assault tapers off as Neal realizes that he's not going to put away Camacho with punches right here. Neal backs up to the center and calls for Camacho to meet him. Camacho agrees, but it proves to be a fatal mistake: moments later, Neal catches Camacho leaning to his right, then obliterates him with a lightning-fast left high kick. Camacho is out cold as he collapses to the ground, and referee Miragliotta rushes in to prevent any follow-up from Neal.

The Official Result

Geoff Neal def. Frank Camacho via KO (Head Kick) R2 1:23

Cody Stamann vs. Aljamain Sterling

Round 1

Sterling blocks a head kick from Stamann, then cracks the "Spartan" with a few speedy right hands. Stamann throws some reaching combinations but can't find the distance early against the longer-limbed Sterling. An early takedown attempt from Sterling is stuffed by Stamann, who continues to walk forward on Sterling here in the first half of round one. Sterling shoots again, this time putting Stamann up against the fence, where the "Funkmaster" tries to frustrate his opponent with some foot stomps. Stamann reverses to the outside with double underhooks as the 135ers hit the midway point of the frame. Stamann changes levels to try a high double, but Sterling widens his base to block it and then escapes the clinch. Sterling throws a spinning backfist and catches Stamann with a forearm to the face. In a flash, Sterling rolls underneath to try a leglock, but Stamann defends well and stands up. Stamann scores a takedown, but he soon finds himself caught in a Sterling triangle. There's just a bit of space left in the triangle, enough for Stamann to stay conscious and, after a few nervous seconds, escape from the choke. Sterling scrambles to his feet, but Stamann sends him back to the mat with a slam in the final 10 seconds.

Sherdog Scores

Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Stamann
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Sterling
Mike Sloan scores the round 10-9 Sterling

Round 2

Sterling scores a takedown, then tries to secure back-mount as he and Stamann grapple at the foot of the fence. Before "Aljo" can get his hooks in, Stamann turns around, reversing the position. Now it's Stamann keeping Sterling on his seat up against the wall, but the bantamweights soon work back to their feet. Sterling lands a clinch knee before separating from Stamann and backing up a few steps. Back comes Sterling, wrapping up and tossing Stamann to the ground, then slickly stepping over to full mount. Stamann rolls over, giving up his back, but Sterling is in danger of sliding off as Stamann postures up. Sterling uses a full nelson to drive Stamann's face into the canvas. Stamann tries to stand again with Sterling still on his back; this time, Sterling gets hold of Stamann's left leg and wrenches it sideways, and the "stump puller" kneebar variation causes Stamann to tap almost instantly.

The Official Result

Aljamain Sterling def. Cody Stamann via Submission (Kneebar) R2 3:42

Carla Esparza vs. Tatiana Suarez

Round 1

Suarez ducks under Esparza's first punch, drives the former champion against the fence and floors her on the second attempt. Esparza tries to wrap up Suarez in a tight guard, but the much larger Suarez simply lifts and slams the "Cookie Monster." Suarez is landing ground-and-pound almost at will, her 5-foot-4 frame simply too large for the 5-foot-1 Esparza to subdue. Esparza lumped up already, with a huge mouse under her left eye just 90 seconds into the bout. Esparza sits up against the fence, then stands, but she's immediately ragdolled back to the ground by the larger woman. Suarez continues to batter Esparza on the mat through the latter half of the round. Esparza occasionally sits up and tries to stand, but Suarez shuts down her every attempt to escape, then makes her pay with hammerfists.

Sherdog Scores

Brian Knapp scores the round 10-8 Suarez
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-8 Suarez
Mike Sloan scores the round 10-8 Suarez

Round 2

Suarez gets in deep on a single-leg, then drags Esparza back to the floor just 20 seconds into the round. Esparza tries to push off Suarez's head and stand, but she's having trouble doing much of anything with Suarez wrapped around her waist. Esparza sits up against the fence and nearly gets mounted, but she somehow powers back to her feet. Suarez never lets go of her opponent, staying clinched with Esparza as they work over to the other side of the cage. Once they hit the wall, it's a matter of seconds before Suarez lifts and trips Esparza back to the ground. With three minutes left in the round, it's Suarez working from cross side control on Esparza's left. Suarez tries to mount, but Esparza gets a knee shield inside to reclaim guard. Suarez is relentless here, suffocating Esparza with top pressure and the occasional ground strike. Esparza clambers back to her feet and is immediately hurled back to the floor, with Suarez once again landing in side control. Esparza escapes to her feet with 50 seconds on the clock; 10 seconds later, the "Cookie Monster" is on her back again, and that's where she stays until the end of the round.

Sherdog Scores

Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Suarez
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Suarez
Mike Sloan scores the round 10-9 Suarez

Round 3

Esparza tries an early takedown, gets stuffed and pushed against the fence, where Suarez brings her down with an easy single-leg. Esparza pushes down on Suarez's head and stands up with the wrestler still wrapped around her waist. Suarez slams her back to the ground, again landing in side control. Esparza reclaims full guard and gets hold of Suarez's right wrist, but Suarez escapes any danger by stepping over and straddling Esparza's head. Esparza rolls to her knees, tries to stand, but then has to go to her back again when Suarez threatens with a choke. Suarez finally gets full mount for a moment, but Esparza gets a knee in and puts her back in guard with half the round remaining. Here in the final minutes of the round, Esparza is better able to disrupt Suarez's offense, but the Team Oyama fighter still isn't able to get much going on her own. Suarez mounts with 50 seconds left and begins slamming Esparza with big punches and elbows. Esparza is doing her best to deflect the shots, but it's not enough for referee Kerry Hatley, who stops the fight after Suarez lands several clean punches to Esparza's face.

The Official Result

Tatiana Suarez def. Carla Esparza via TKO (Punches) R3 4:33

Niko Price vs. Abdul Razak Alhassan

Round 1

Both welterweights come out swinging, and Price lands a glancing right, but it's Alhassan who connects with a thunderous right hook that has Price in trouble up against the fence. Alhassan keeps throwing, catches Price off-balance and knocks him to the ground with a body shot. Price is barely back on his feet when Alhassan lays waste to "The Hybrid" with a picture-perfect left hook. Another pair of punches rattles the unconscious Price's brain as he falls to the ground in a heap and referee Jacob Montalvo waves off the bout.

The Official Result

Abdul Razak Alhassan def. Niko Price via KO (Punch) R1 0:43

John Dodson vs. Jimmie Rivera

Round 1

Rivera takes the center of the cage, lining up orthodox against the speedy southpaw Dodson. After a slow-going opening minute, Dodson catches a kick and hustles Rivera against the fence. When Rivera reverses, Dodson circles out of the clinch and back to the center of the cage. Rivera blocks a left high kick but gets stuck with a right hand behind it. Inside low kicks are landing for Rivera, who's clearly picking his shots carefully against the left-hander. Rivera grabs Dodson in a rear bodylock, tries to lift and slam, but Dodson grapevines a leg, peels away Rivera's hands and escapes unharmed. Dodson flashes a speedy left hand in the face of Rivera, who answers with a right hook to the body of "The Magician." With 45 seconds left in round one, Rivera continues to work from the center with Dodson circling him on the outside. Rivera gets the final word in round one with a pair of left hands in the last 10 seconds.

Sherdog Scores

Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Rivera
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Rivera
Mike Sloan scores the round 10-9 Rivera

Round 2

Dodson is looking to unleash his left hand, double-pumping his jab to get inside, but Rivera shows good movement and slips the left. Both fighters land short punches in the pocket as they circling in increasingly close quarters. Two minutes in, Rivera throws his hands up in frustration, as Dodson has gone back to circling away each time Rivera gets close enough to trade strikes. Rivera is still coming forward, but his output has dropped off a bit, specifically the low kicks that were landing with such force in the opening frame. Just inside the final minute of the round, Rivera throws an inside thigh kick that strays high and clips Dodson on the cup. Referee Dan Miragliotta pauses the action, but Dodson doesn't need long to recover. The flyweights' striking continues to cancel out, though Dodson lands a clean body kick in the final 20 seconds.

Sherdog Scores

Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Rivera
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Rivera
Mike Sloan scores the round 10-9 Rivera

Round 3

Rivera finds some success early in round three, as he resumes his leg-kicking before finding a home for a straight right hand. Dodson isn't offering much in return, just circling to his left around the outside, seemingly waiting for something from Rivera. Not much action to speak of through the middle portion of the round, as the flyweights continue their endless circling. Dodson lands a front kick to the body, gets an inside leg kick from Rivera in return. Rivera keeps pressing out from the center, backing up occasionally when Dodson decides to burst forward with a single punch or double jab. The fighters wind up in the collar tie, throwing left hands at one another's ribs when the final horn sounds.

Sherdog Scores

Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Rivera (30-27 Rivera)
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Rivera (30-27 Rivera)
Mike Sloan scores the round 10-9 Rivera (30-27 Rivera)

Zabit Magomedsharipov vs. Brandon Davis

Round 1

Davis, a massive underdog according to the sportsbooks, opens with a few inside leg kicks, eats a jab and flashes a smile at his Russian opponent. Magomedsharipov switches between stances as he absorbs some early pressure from Davis, who's trying out some body kicks here in the second minute. Magomedsharipov catches a low kick and fires a left hand that doesn't seem to land clean. Magomedsharipov tries a trip and gets a finger wag from Davis in return. Davis backs up Magomedsharipov to the fence, but it's the Russian who connects with a nice left hook to Davis' chin. Magomedsharipov jabs his way off the fence, but Davis continues to land low kicks as he walks forward with a smile on his face. Davis eats a right hand but snaps back Magomedsharipov's head with a nice counter uppercut. Now it's Magomedsharipov smiling at Davis as he slaps at the American's body with a jumping switch kick. Magomedsharipov gets Davis wrapped up in a standing rear waistlock, lifts and slams him to the floor. Davis climbs back to his feet instantly, but he finishes the round taking a body blow from Magomedsharipov.

Sherdog Scores

Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Magomedsharipov
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Magomedsharipov
Mike Sloan scores the round 10-9 Davis

Round 2

Magomedsharipov quickly hustles Davis against the fence and tries to climb on his back. Davis stays standing and prevents the back-take, but Magomedsharipov wrestles him to the floor just 40 seconds into the round. Davis rolls to his knees and climbs back to his feet, again blocking Magomedsharipov from sinking his hooks. Magomedsharipov doesn't give Davis an inch to escape, dragging him back to the floor 30 seconds later. Davis stands again, but Magomedsharipov makes him pay with some hard right hands. Davis gets taken down, stands up again, but Magomedsharipov is increasingly accurate with his strikes. Magomedsharipov scores another takedown in the fourth minute, and this time he attaches himself to Davis' back with both hooks. Davis blocks a rear-naked choke attempt, so Magomedsharipov grabs for Davis' left leg and extends it in a "Suloev stretch" kneebar. Davis tries to resist, but Magomedsharipov has the leg fully extended and eventually forces the tap.

The Official Result

Zabit Magomedsharipov def. Brandon Davis via Submission (Kneebar) R2 3:46

Jessica Andrade vs. Karolina Kowalkiewicz

Round 1

Andrade charges across the cage to meet her opponent and rocks Kowalkiewicz with her opening salvo. "Bate Estaca" keeps the punches coming, putting her head down and bombing away on the wobbly Pole as they fight on the fence. Kowalkiewicz still looks unsteady as she circles away, but she regains her footing by the time they enter the second minute. Andrade is still throwing with full force, trying to knock out Kowalkiewicz with each punch she throws. Kowalkiewicz is clearly feeling the early onslaught, but she's doing well to circle away and keep the powerful Brazilian out of punching range. Andrade just keeps marching forward, and eventually she finds the button: Kowalkiewicz puts her head down to throw punches, and Andrade lays waste to her with a right hook that she never sees coming. Kowalkiewicz hits her back, eyes open but nobody home, and referee Kerry Hatley steps in to stop the fight before Andrade can land any follow-up shots.

The Official Result

Jessica Andrade def. Karolina Kowalkiewicz via KO (Punch) R1 1:58

UFC Welterweight Title Fight:
Tyron Woodley vs. Darren Till

Round 1

Referee Dan Miragliotta is the third man in the cage for tonight's 170-pound championship main event, with judges Steve Armstrong, Chris Lee and Aladdin Martinez scoring at cageside. Woodley connects with his first punch and grabs hold of Till, who shuts down the wrestler's early takedown attempt with double overhooks. Woodley keeps his bodylock on Till and jams him against the fence, but after a minute in the clinch, referee Miragliotta separates the welterweights. Till takes the center of the cage in his wide southpaw stance, while the more compact Woodley hops around the outside, threatening to change levels. Woodley lunges forward with a glancing left hand before moving back to the outside. After a slow middle of the round, Woodley grabs for a high-crotch single but can't complete the takedown, as Till backs up to the fence immediately. The fighters tussle on the fence, but with both men clasping their hands in over-unders, there's not much action. Referee Miragliotta restarts them in the center with 30 seconds on the clock, and they close out the opening frame with more circling and feinting.

Sherdog Scores

Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Woodley
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Woodley
Mike Sloan scores the round 10-9 Woodley

Round 2

Till tries to come inside early and gets absolutely decked by a Woodley right hand. Woodley chases him to the ground, posturing up in Till's wide open guard and slamming the challenger with heavy elbows and punches. Till is somehow hanging on, but he's sporting a nasty cut along his hairline. Woodley smashes him with another vicious right elbow, but Till is doing well to slow the assault as he tries to recover from the knockdown. Woodley slows the assault, stepping over to half guard and wrapping up Till in an arm-triangle setup. Woodley tries to step over and finish the choke, but as he steps over to full mount, Till escapes the submission attempt. Till indicates to referee Miragliotta that he's OK, but Woodley isn't finished, repeatedly slamming elbows into the side of the Englishman's head. The strikes aren't doing the trick, so Woodley frames up a D'arce/brabo choke and bears down. Till resists the choke for a moment, but it's locked on tight and the "Gorilla" is forced to submit. Tyron Woodley retains his UFC welterweight title with an utterly dominant performance against previously unbeaten Darren Till.

The Official Result

Tyron Woodley def. Darren Till via Submission (Brabo Choke) R2 4:19
