Adriano Martins vs. Leonardo Santos

Round 1

Santos takes the center of the cage and flicks out some early, range-finding low kicks and jabs. The southpaw Martins moves around the outside, out of reach of the taller man, and tests the distance with a few leg kicks of his own. Two minutes in, neither Brazilian lightweight has taken control of the round. Santos finds the mark with a hard kick to Martins’ body, then lands it again and has to hop backward as Martins tries to grab hold and counter. Inside the final minute of round one, Martins grazes Santos’ chin with a massive uppercut; Santos seems unfazed, but he’s ceded control of the center to Martins down the stretch.

Sherdog Scores

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-10
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-10
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-10

Round 2

It’s more of the same in round two, as the Brazilian countrymen hunt and peck with single punches and leg kicks. Martins’ kicks are drawing reactions from Santos, who tilts off to his right every time the Manaus native hits him with a chop. Santos goes upstairs with a right high kick; it’s blocked by Martins, but he still appears a bit wobbly after absorbing the strike with glove to head. Martins is largely controlling the center of the cage in this round, though his contant forward motion hasn’t let to much of an uptick in offense. Santos lands a pair of solid body kicks as another tepid round comes to a close.

Sherdog Scores

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-10
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Santos
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-10

Round 3

After another 90 seconds of tentative jabbing and leg-kicking around the cage, Santos ducks under a Martins punch and threatens with a bodylock takedown. Martins shoves away and separates, then begins pressing forward on Santos while the Nova Uniao fighter circles around the edge of the cage. Martins continues to come forward and finally connects with a solid left hand, but Santos circles away before he can follow up. Down to the final 90 seconds, Martins is picking up the pace a bit with low kicks and (missed) uppercuts. Santos is just backing away, his counterpunches having disappeared almost completely. Martins coming on strong down the stretch; it’s not exactly a flurry of activity, but the man from the Amazon finds a home for a left hook and an uppercut. Santos’ best strike of the round comes in the form of a late right high kick to the face of Martins.

Sherdog Scores

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Martins (30-29 Martins)
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Martins (29-29 Draw)
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Martins (30-29 Martins)

The Official Result

Leonardo Santos def. Adriano Martins via Split Decision (29-28, 29-28, 28-29) R3 5:00

Mike Perry vs. Danny Roberts

Round 1

Perry takes the center of the cage and presses out toward the southpaw Roberts, who circles clockwise around the edge of the cage. Roberts misses by an inch with a huge left hook, follows with a chopping leg kick. Perry connects with a hard kick to the body, sticks his jab in Roberts’ face and continues to wade forward. Roberts puts a pair of punches on Perry, then grabs his neck for a Thai clinch and grazes with a high knee. Perry closes the distance and hits Roberts with a knee on the fence, followed by a right hand. Roberts shoots for a takedown, gets sprawled on and winds up on his back with Perry in side control on his left. Perry looks for some short, stapling elbows, then transitions onto Roberts’ back when “Hot Chocolate” rolls over. Inside the final 80 seconds of round one, Roberts shakes Perry off his back and scrambles to his feet. Roberts reclaims a little ground with a pair of hard leg kicks, a left hook, but his follow-up left high kick is blocked. Perry puts Roberts in danger once again with a combination just before the horn, but the American can’t finish the job before the horn.

Sherdog Scores

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-8 Perry
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-8 Perry
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-8 Perry

Round 2

Roberts sticks a pair of clean left hands, a leg kick and then a punch to the body as he catches Perry marching forward again. Perry takes another chop to the lead leg but gets out of the way of Roberts’ follow-up combo. Perry fends off a weak takedown attempt but gets knocked upside the head by another awkward Roberts left high kick. Midway through the round, Perry swarms Roberts against the fence but can’t connect with anything clean. Roberts shoots low and drives Perry to the other side of the cage, where the welterweights engage in a brief tangle before separating. They’re back to their familiar positions, with Roberts circling left around the outside, picking at the oncoming Perry’s legs with kicks. Two straight lefts get the attention of Perry, who’s starting to look a little slow on his feet here down the stretch. Perry’s hands are noticably lower as he marches forward, straight into another Roberts left hand. Another huge left from Roberts snaps back the American’s head, but now Perry stings him back with a punch of his own. Roberts tries a desperate takedown and gets stuffed to the ground, allowing Perry to mount him in the closing seconds.

Sherdog Scores

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Roberts
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Perry
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Roberts

Round 3

Roberts opens the round with leg kicks but soon finds himself on the receiving end of another Perry right hand. Perry tries to follow up on the fence, but Roberts pushes his way out and the welterweights square off in the center with just over four minutes left to fight. Roberts goes to the body with a left hook, gets pushed backward to the wall and whiffs on a left high kick. Both men are punching slow now, but Roberts still looks to have some pep left on his inside leg kicks. Perry is emboldened when he lands a right hand, but as he steps forward, Roberts makes him pay with a cracking left hook. Both men swing and miss with head kicks, then Roberts connects with a left high kick to the face. Perry just eats it and walks forward again. Inside the final minute, it’s Perry moving Roberts backward toward the fence, missing with an uppercut and then landing a hard right hook. Perry follows with a clinch knee, then a right hook that sends Roberts to the ground unconscious. Perry dives down and gets in one or two more punches before referee Marc Goddard finally stops the fight.

The Official Result

Mike Perry def. Danny Roberts via KO (Knee and Punches) R3 4:40

Marc Diakiese vs. Lukasz Sajewski

Round 1

Sajewski goes straight after a takedown and quickly wrestles Diakiese down to the mat at the base of the fence. “Wookiee” moves to side control and drives knees to the body of Diakiese, still inside the opening minute of the fight. Seventy seconds in, Sajewski takes full mount, but Diakiese is soon able to push him back to half guard. Sajewski looks to be framing up an arm-triangle choke as he keeps heavy pressure on Diakiese’s upper body. Short elbow strikes to the face and a forearm across the throat don’t dissuade Diakiese, who powers back to his feet and surprisingly slams Sajewski to the floor. Sajewski stands up under fire, absorbing three or four hard punches from Diakiese but dodging a big clinch knee. Two minutes left in round one as Sajewski clinches up and trips Diakiese back to the mat. Diakiese tangles up Sajewski in half guard, slowing the action on the ground and causing referee Leon Roberts to call for action. Diakiese answers the call with a heel hook attempt which produces no tap but forces Sajewski back on his feet to end the round.

Sherdog Scores

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Sajewski
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Sajewski
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Sajewski

Round 2

Diakiese comes out swinging, quickly backing up Sajewski to the fence. The Englishman switches between stances before clipping Sajewski with a stiff left hand on the outside. Sajewski’s hands are hanging low as he stands just outside Diakiese’s striking range. Over the top comes Diakiese with a straight right hand. With three minutes left in the second, Sajewski looks absolutely exhausted, sucking wind as he moves around the outside with halting steps. Diakiese’s gets an arm up to block Sajewski’s right hand, counters with a right hook on the other side. Sajewski swings another wild right hand, dodged by Diakiese and countered again. Diakiese seems to smell blood as he begins to tee off with uppercuts and hooks, forcing Sajewski to cover up with his back to the fence. Referee Leon Roberts is having a close look as Diakiese continues to overwhelm his opponent. With Sajewski no longer defending himself to the ref’s satisfaction, the fight is waved off.

The Official Result

Marc Diakiese def. Lukasz Sajewski via TKO (Punches) R2 4:30

Albert Tumenov vs. Leon Edwards

Round 1

The southpaw Edwards gets Tumenov moving backward with a faked left high kick, but soon it’s “Einstein” stepping forward on the Englishman. Edwards scores with a nice left kick to the body, dives in behind it and drags Tumenov to the floor. Tumenov powers back to his feet within seconds, still wrapped around the waist by Edwards, who pushes the Russian against the fence. Another takedown lands for Edwards, now 90 seconds into the round. Edwards loops his right arm around Tumenov, locking down the Russian’s right arm to flatten him out on the floor. Edwards passes to side control, then full mount with just over two minutes remaining in the round. Tumenov reclaims half guard a few seconds later, then scrambles back to his feet, avoiding a guillotine from Edwards along the way. Edwards spins him back to the floor and sinks in a hook, but the cage blocks the Englishman from taking Tumenov’s back. Edwards finally gets the back with 10 seconds left but can’t do anything with the position.

Sherdog Scores

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Edwards
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Edwards
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Edwards

Round 2

Tumenov comes forward swinging punches early in the round, but Edwards backs up and angles off the fence, avoiding the Russian’s attack. Still, it’s Tumenov making progress here in the first half of round two, backing up Edwards with constant pressure, mixing up his right hands with kicks and uppercuts. Two minutes left in the round, Tumenov continues to pressure, but the punches aren’t exactly flowing from either man. Tumenov snaps back Edwards’ head with a hook, one of the best punches yet from “Einstein.” Edwards tries to fend off Tumenov with his jab and gets zapped with another left.

Sherdog Scores

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Tumenov
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Tumenov
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Tumenov

Round 3

Edwards keeps Tumenov out of range with long, snappy jabs in the opening minute, but the Englishman isn’t landing much of anything here. Tumenov keeps pressing and connects with a few scattered punches near the fence. Edwards drops down to grab hold of a leg and then drags Tumenov to the canvas in the center of the cage. Tumenov gets to a knee, tries to stand, but Edwards is hanging all over him. Edwards rides his opponent back to the ground with one hook in and slaps on a rear-naked choke. The RNC doesn’t look tight at first, but it constricts as Tumenov tries to escape. Within seconds, Tumenov is forced to tap out.

The Official Result

Leon Edwards def. Albert Tumenov via Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) R3 3:01

Davey Grant vs. Damian Stasiak

Round 1

Stasiak grabs hold of Grant’s first kick and spins him to the floor a few feet away from the fence. Grant throws up his legs, blocking a pass and scrambling back to his feet after pushing Stasiak away. Grant swings and misses with a few spinning strikes before running Stasiak against the wall and taking him down. Stasiak sits up and powers back to his feet, eating a solid right hand along the way. Stasiak looks for a trip takedown at the wall, but it’s blocked by Grant. The bantamweights hit the ground in the whizzer, and Stasiak turns it to his advantage with a bodylock. Grant pushes him off, and the 135ers are back to striking with two minutes on the clock. Grant dodges a high kick, pings Stasiak with a left hook and then shoots for another takedown at the fence. Grant wrestles Stasiak to the floor with 30 seconds left, but 10 seconds later, Stasiak has swept into top position, where he finishes the round.

Sherdog Scores

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Grant
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Stasiak
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-10

Round 2

Grant tags Stasiak with a flurry of punches to the body, followed by a knee to the face. Stasiak slows the pace with a brief clinch, quickly broken up by Grant, who wants to continue striking from range. A left hook from Grant gets Stasiak moving sideways around the edge of the fence. Grant shoves him against the wall with a knee to the gut, backs up to sling more punches. It’s all Grant so far, halfway through round two, but Stasiak scores another takedown after catching a kick. Grant quickly posts and stands, drilling Stasiak with a knee to the face off the stand-up. Stasiak circles away, tries a spinning kick, then shoots low and takes down Grant once again. Grant hunts for an armbar from the bottom, can’t get it, and now Stasiak advances to half guard on the Englishman’s right side. Stasiak is framing up an arm-triangle choke, but he abandons it to drop punches from full mount. Grant is only mounted for a few seconds before he kicks off the fence and sweeps. Grant looks for a no-hooks rear-naked choke and winds up being flipped onto his back again for the final 15 seconds.

Sherdog Scores

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Grant
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Grant
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Grant

Round 3

Stasiak waits for Grant to come forward with punches and then changes levels to try a takedown, but Grant pushes him away. Grant switches between southpaw and orthodox stances as he follows Stasiak around the edge of the cage. Stasiak changes levels again, and this time his single-leg attempt yields a takedown. Grant rolls to his knees, Stasiak straddling his head, and then climbs back to his feet. Stasiak immediately tries another takedown, a double-leg this time, but Grant is ready for it and forces the smaller man to the floor. Now it’s Grant working from top position with half a round remaining. Stasiak whips his legs around and catches a lightning-fast armbar, and it looks tight. Grant refuses to tap out at first, but when Stasiak rolls onto his side and fully extends the limb, Grant has to submit.

The Official Result

Damian Stasiak def. Davey Grant via Submission (Armbar) R3 3:56

Iuri Alcantara vs. Brad Pickett

Round 1

Alcantara opens with a stiff kick to the body of Pickett, who bounces on his toes on the outside while the larger man works from the center. The Brazilian leaps at Pickett with a knee, follows with a left hook and then backs of to the middle of the cage. Pickett grabs for a leg, gets pushed away and blocks a left high kick. Alcantara executes a beautiful short spinning elbow that sends Pickett crashing to the floor. Alcantara tries to pound out “One-Punch” while referee Marc Goddard looks on from inches away. Alcantara abandons the ground-and-pound, transitioning to an armbar. When Pickett looks close to escaping from this, Alcantara switches to a triangle that forces the Englishman to tap out in a hurry.

The Official Result

Iuri Alcantara def. Brad Pickett via Submission (Triangle Choke) R1 1:59

Mirsad Bektic vs. Russell Doane

Round 1

Doane clips Bektic with a left hand in the opening exchange, but Bektic circles off the fence, stumbles and regains his footing. Bektic shoots low and picks the ankle of Doane, taking him down at the base of the fence. Doane tries to roll away, nearly has his back taken, but manages to scramble to his feet. Bektic keeps him wrapped up in a rear waistlock and hurls him back to the ground, then works to repeat the suplex when Doane stands up again. Doane stays standing for 20 seconds but is eventually dragged back to the mat. Up again come the featherweights, Bektic still clung to Doane’s back, still working to pull him down. This time, when Bektic gets Doane on the floor, the American Top Team fighter is able to establish back-mount with both hooks. Bektic slaps on a rear-naked choke, defended well by Doane as they enter the final minute of round one. Bektic switches to a body triangle and applies the RNC again; this time, Doane has nowhere to go and quickly taps out.

The Official Result

Mirsad Bektic def. Russell Doane via Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) R1 4:22

Stefan Struve vs. Daniel Omielanczuk

Round 1

Omielanczuk opens with a leg kick as he hops around the 7-foot “Skyscraper” planted in the center of the cage. Struve tries to press outward with push kicks but has to back up as Omielanczuk slings an overhand right toward his chin. Omielanczuk just gets a hand up to block Struve’s right high kick, then swing back with a left hand that touches the Dutchman’s chin and forces him backward a few steps. Struve marches back to his opponent and replies with a knee to the body, then a right straight to the face. Struve sticks Omielanczuk with another right hand but has to back out of the pocket as the Polish striker looks to counter. Omielanczuk shoves Struve against the fence, looking for a single-leg takedown, but Struve thwarts it and stuffs Omielanczuk to the floor. With two minutes left in the round, it’s Struve on top, working from half guard on Omielanczuk’s right side. Omielanczuk defends an arm-triangle choke setup but surrenders full mount with more than a minute left on the clock. Omielanczuk rolls over, giving up his back, then rolls again, leaving Struve right back in full mount. Again, Struve moves to the back, but he runs out of time while hunting for a twister setup.

Sherdog Scores

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Struve
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Struve
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Struve

Round 2

Omielanczuk rushes to close the gap and blocks Struve’s throw attempt, instead jamming the Dutchman against the fence with a bodylock. Struve spins him around, pulls down Omielanczuk’s head in the Thai clinch and lands a single knee before being turned around. Omielanczuk wants the takedown, but it’s Struve hurling the Polish fighter to the floor once again. From mount, Struve wraps up a tight D’arce/brabo choke and drops to his back. Omielanczuk tries to kick off the cage to escape, but he goes the wrong way and has to tap out.

The Official Result

Stefan Struve def. Daniel Omielanczuk via Submission (Brabo Choke) R2 1:41

Ovince St. Preux vs. Jimi Manuwa

Round 1

St. Preux strikes first with a body kick-straight right, but Manuwa pushes forward with a few hard body kicks of his own. The 205ers tie up and move to the fence, “OSP” taking the outside position to land a knee to Manuwa’s midsection. Manuwa answers with a sharp knee of his own before pushing St. Preux away and stepping out to the center of the cage. St. Preux denies a takedown attempt from the Englishman, but Manuwa is able to shove him to the wall with over-unders. Manuwa narrowly misses a knee to the face of St. Preux on the split, and now it’s St. Preux shooting low for a takedown. Manuwa goes to the ground on his knees, and St. Preux gets a hook on Manuwa’s left side, the right side being blocked by the fence. Manuwa stands for a moment, gets taken down again, but this time he grabs a guillotine on his way down. The choke doesn’t look tight, and it only takes 20 seconds for St. Preux to extract his head and transition onto Manuwa’s back again. Manuwa covers up on his knees in the final half minute, while St. Preux picks at him with sporadic punches from behind.

Sherdog Scores

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 St. Preux
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 St. Preux
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 St. Preux

Round 2

Manuwa steps forward at the start of the round but runs into front and low kicks from St. Preux, who works off his back foot. “OSP” drops levels for a takedown, pushes Manuwa to the fence and fishes for a double-leg before releasing. Manuwa grazes with a powerful right hand as he creeps toward St. Preux, who’s breathing heavy with his hands held low. Manuwa slugs St. Preux with a pair of nasty left hooks to the breadbasket, but St. Preux doesn’t react. Another body shot backs up St. Preux to the fence, where Manuwa unleashes a massive overhand right that puts the American on roller skates. St. Preux is already dazed when Manuwa connects with a scorching left hook that puts him down for the count. St. Preux crashes to the ground, his left leg folded awkwardly underneath his body, and referee Leon Roberts rushes in for the stoppage.

The Official Result

Jimi Manuwa def. Ovince St. Preux via KO (Punches) R2 2:38

Gegard Mousasi vs. Vitor Belfort

Round 1

Mousasi quickly closes the distance, backing up Belfort to the fence, where the Brazilian has to get a hand up to block Mousasi’s right high kick. The southpaw Belfort steps around the outside, Mousasi closing in to land a straight right over the top, now a jab. Mousasi comes in to clinch but can’t keep hold of Belfort, as the “Phenom” shoves off and circles out to the middle. Mousasi is doing well to keep Belfort out of striking range with long jabs and kicks here in the first half of round one. Mousasi drops his right hand while throwing a low kick and gets clipped by a Belfort left, but the Dutchman appears unfazed as he continues his forward march. Mousasi connects with a jab-left hook and steps in to press Belfort against the cage, but the Brazilian escapes. Mousasi keeps coming forward until the end of the round, hitting a late takedown just as the horn sounds.

Sherdog Scores

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Mousasi
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Mousasi
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Mousasi

Round 2

The middleweights take up their positions from the previous round: Belfort with his back to the fence, circling to his right, while Mousasi jabs his way outward from the center. Belfort connects with a heavy body kick, answered right away by Mousasi with a stiff right hand. Mousasi dives for a high double-leg against the fence, but Belfort easily pushes him away. Inside leg kicks and jabs from Mousasi get Belfort on his back foot again. Suddenly, Mousasi wheels up with a right high kick that stuns Belfort. Mousasi smells blood and tries to smash out Belfort on the feet, but Belfort is doing well to bob and weave. Mousasi gives up on the punches and takes Belfort to the ground instead, then passes to full mount. Belfort gives up his back, but only briefly, and he flips over when Mousasi threatens with a rear-naked choke. This leaves Belfort back in full mount, raining heavy right hands down on the face of the trapped Belfort. Referee Marc Goddard tells Belfort to fight back; after a few more punches land and Belfort rolls onto his side, Goddard calls a halt to the bout.

The Official Result

Gegard Mousasi def. Vitor Belfort via TKO (Punches) R2 2:43

UFC Middleweight Title Fight
Michael Bisping vs. Dan Henderson

Round 1

Canadian referee Yves Lavigne is the third man in the cage for tonight’s 185-pound championship bout. Bisping takes the center of the cage at the opening bell and crouches low as he inches out toward his challenger. Henderson pushes him back a few steps with a leg kick, but the champion is soon closing the distance again. Bisping steps in to throw and gets cut off by a popping jab from “Hendo.” Henderson waits for Bisping to step in the pocket and swings a big overhand right, but Bisping is ready for it and sidesteps the power punch. Bisping tries a left high kick, blocked by Henderson, and the middleweights continue their tense battle through the middle of the round. Henderson grabs for a single-leg, gets pushed away and has to back up further as Bisping launches another left high kick. Henderson takes a couple jabs on the nose before finally grazing Bisping’s face with the overhand right, though not enough to stun the champion. With 45 seconds on the clock, Hendo unleashes a right hand on the jaw that sends Bisping crashing to the canvas. Bisping is dazed, trying to corral Henderson in guard as the American wails away with massive hammerfists. Bisping rolls away from the assault and scrambles to his feet, his face coated in blood as the round comes to a close. Bisping is sporting a massive mouse and cut underneath his left eye as he returns to his corner.

Brian Knapp scores the round 10-8 Henderson

Round 2

Bisping looks to have recovered from the first-round knockdown as he comes out pressing the action on Henderson once again. “The Count” is finding some success with jabs and low kicks here in the first 90 seconds of the round, while Henderson looks to be slowing down a bit, breathing heavy and throwing very little from his back foot. Bisping sneaks a straight right past Henderson’s raised glove and onto the American’s cauliflower ear. Bisping catches Henderson leaning in and connects with a knee, then follows with a body shot that gets Henderson backpedaling. As Bisping closes the gap, however, Henderson decks the champion with another massive right hand to the jaw. Henderson’s follow-up punch misses the grounded Bisping, who wraps up the Team Quest fighter in guard as soon as he comes down to the mat.

Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Bisping

Bisping finds the mark with a right cross, takes a kick on his lead leg and gets one in return. Bisping sticks a jab; Henderson answers with a leg kick, then gets turned around by one from the champion. More jabs from Bisping through the middle of the round, keeping Henderson on his bicycle. Henderson fakes a shot, can’t get Bisping to bite. Ninety seconds left in the round, Bisping still moving forward, now placing a nice body kick on Henderson’s rib cage. Henderson slugs back with another hard right hand but stumbles on the punch and has to scramble up with caution. Once again, Henderson connects with a heavy right hand in the closing moments of the round; this time, however, Bisping leans away from it and doesn’t take the full force of the “H-Bomb.”

Sherdog Scores

Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Bisping
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Bisping

Round 4

Bisping spends the first minute of the championship rounds shuffling Henderson around the edge of the cage, but Henderson comes back to the center to land a partially deflected right hand. Bisping smiles after eating the punch and lunges at Henderson with a leaping kick. Henderson’s strikes are coming a lot slower now, particularly his kicks, but it’s Bisping who misfires with a low kick and catches the challenger on the groin. Henderson’s corner complains that this is Bisping’s second foul after another low blow went unnoticed in the second round. Referee Lavigne warns Bisping that the next infraction could cost him a point. Henderson takes a minute to regain his composure while Bisping plays to the crowd on the other side of the cage, mocking his opponent. When action resumes with half the round remaining, it’s Bisping stepping forward once again, beating Henderson to the punch with jabs and crosses. Henderson backs him up momentarily with a jab and a leg kick. The challenger swings and misses with an overhand right but finds Bisping’s body with a hard kick. Inside the final minute of the penultimate round, Bisping tags Henderson with a left hook and stomps at the American’s lead leg with kicks to the knee. Henderson gets the final word with a clinch knee to the face that leaves Bisping smiling.

Henderson grabs for the champion’s head again, looking for another clinch knee, but Bisping is wise to it this time. Bisping comes around the outside with a right hook but has to back up immediately as Henderson pops him with a right of his own. Henderson gets his hands up to block a pair of hooks but Bisping follows up with a clean kick to the breadbasket. They’re halfway through a final round which still appears very much up for grabs. Henderson whiffs on a big uppercut but connects with the leg kick behind it. Bisping gets backed up against the fence and eats a right hand, then gets wrangled to the ground by Henderson, who uses underhooks to try and keep the champion down. Bisping gets up, stuffs a long takedown attempt from the veteran and bounces away. Twenty seconds left now, and Henderson is on his back foot again, Bisping coming forward. Bisping leaps at his challenger with a flying knee, and Henderson answers in kind with a wild, rolling kick just before the final horn.
