UFC 202 Salaries: Conor McGregor Rakes in Record $3 Million Purse

Conor McGregor has three million reasons to smile.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship featherweight titleholder pulled in a record $3 million purse, as he took a majority decision from Nate Diaz in the UFC 202 headliner on Saturday at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. McGregor avenged his UFC 196 submission loss to “The Ultimate Fighter 5” winner, with 48-47 marks from judges Derek Cleary and Jeff Mullen offsetting the 47-47 scorecard struck by dissenting judge Glenn Trowbridge. Diaz walked away with $2,000,000 in wake of the five-round rematch.

Meanwhile, Anthony Johnson banked $270,000 in the co-main event, as he knocked out Glover Teixeira with a right uppercut 13 seconds into the first round and likely cemented himself as the No. 1 contender at 205 pounds. Teixeira pocketed $65,000 for his troubles.
