All eyes were on Dublin for UFC Fight Night “McGregor vs. Brandao”, and the Irish capital didn’t disappoint.

According to UFC President Dana White, “every fighter in the UFC wants to fight in Ireland.” As it turns out, members of World Series of Fighting aren’t exempt either, particularly Tyrone Spong.

"I've got Tyrone Spong back here telling me, ‘Sign me for one fight,’ White said at Saturday’s post-fight press conference. “I want to fight in the UFC."

As recently as January, the Blackzilian re-signed with WSOF on a multi-fight contract but has yet to return to the cage for the Las Vegas-based promotion since suffering a gruesome leg injury at Glory 15 in Istanbul.

While a move to the UFC may not come for some time, the seeds have definitely been planted.

After the main event, Spong took to social media and retweeted a post that added credence to White’s comments at the press conference.

It’s worth noting that Spong’s teammate Anthony Johnson was close to re-signing with WSOF before ultimately joining the Zuffa-owned promotion in February.
