Charles Oliveira will be getting a hometown fight, but he will once again face an unranked opponent.
Oliveira (27-8, 1 NC) will take on Jared Gordon (15-3) at UFC Fight Night 164 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Also added to the card will be a bantamweight clash between Ricardo Ramos (13-2) and Luiz Eduardo Garagorri (13-0), the promotion announced on Thursday.
"Do Bronx" is coming off of a TKO win over Nik Lentz to extend his winning streak to five. He has finished all five of his opponents on that streak, including four by submission. The Brazilian has notable wins over Clay Guida, Jim Miller and Jeremy Stephens among others.
His opponent in Gordon returned to the win column in his last time out taking a decision against Dan Moret. The win snapped his two-fight losing skid.
At bantamweight, like Oliveira, Ramos gets a hometown fight as he hails from Sao Paulo. The 24-year-old returned to the win column in June with a decision over Journey Newson. Before that, he suffered his first loss inside the Octagon to Said Nurmagomedov.
Garagorri (13-0) is coming off of his successful UFC debut in August, where he beat Humberto Bandenay by decision.
UFC Fight Night 164 is set for Nov. 16, and is headlined by a light heavyweight bout between Jan Blachowicz vs. Ronaldo Souza.
