Two Championship Bouts Shoulder Tachi Palace Fights 29 Marquee on Nov. 3

Cody Gibson will defend the Tachi Palace Fights bantamweight championship against Kyle Reyes in the TPF 29 main event on Nov. 3 at the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore, California.

Gibson has responded to his release from the Ultimate Fighting Championship -- he went 1-3 in four appearances with the promotion -- with back-to-back wins. The 29-year-old Blackwell, Oklahoma, native last competed at TPF 27 on May 19, when he took a five-round unanimous decision from Rolando Velasco, the victory bringing with it Tachi Palace Fights gold at 135 pounds. Gibson wrestled collegiately at Bakersfield College and Menlo College in California.

Reyes will enter the cage on the strength of a three-fight winning streak. The 25-year-old Guamanian last fought at TPF 28 on Aug. 4, when he tapped Josh San Diego with a first-round brabo choke. Reyes has secured eight of his 11 professional victories by submission, six of them inside one round.

Meanwhile, Adrian Diaz will put his TPF featherweight championship on the line against Chris Culley in the co-headliner.

Diaz, 28, owns a perfect 3-0 record under the Tachi Palace Fights banner, with wins over Andres Quintana, Isaac de Jesus and Olaf Alfonso. Millennia MMA’s Culley has won two of his last three fights.
