Troubled Ex-UFC Fighter ‘Mayhem’ Miller Jailed Again, Bail Set at $1 Million

Jason Miller has run afoul of the law once again.

TMZ.com reported on Wednesday that the troubled former UFC and Strikeforce talent was arrested for vandalizing an Orange County, Calif., tattoo shop with graffiti in January.

Sherdog.com confirmed via online court records that Miller was taken into custody on Tuesday, with his bail set at $1 million. According to the report, that figure was so high because Miller was out on bail for a previous felony at the time of his arrest.

Miller, who has well-documented history of legal troubles, recently announced that he was coming out of retirement to compete for Italian MMA promotion Venator FC. He is scheduled to face Luke Barnatt for the organization’s middleweight title on May 21 in Milan. “Mayhem” was arrested on suspicion of DUI in Irvine, Calif., early in February just prior to the Venator FC announcement.

Miller also recently produced a bizarre video discussing his upcoming bout with “Josh Barnett,” which led many to question whether he was in the right frame of mind to compete in MMA again. Venator FC President Frank Merenda then released a statement defending Miller, claiming that Miller’s legal issues occurred after his initial retirement from the sport and that fighting again “can help him greatly with his path to redemption.”
