‘TUF 20’ Finale Salaries: Charles Oliveira, Carla Esparza Lead $425K Payroll

Charles Oliveira earned an event-high $54,000 for his victory against Jeremy Stephens ($40,000) at last Friday’s “The Ultimate Fighter 20” Finale, though not all of that money went home with the Brazilian.

Oliveira forfeited 10 percent of his purse to Stephens as a penalty for missing weight for their 145-pound co-main event at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. Sherdog.com obtained a list of the disclosed payouts from the Nevada Athletic Commission on Monday.

Carla Esparza, who became the first UFC women’s strawweight champion by submitting Rose Namajunas in the show’s headliner, pocketed $50,000 for her title-winning performance. Namajunas earned $25,000 in defeat.

Other top earners on the show included K.J. Noons, who took home a $31,000 “show” purse for his no-contest bout with Daron Cruickshank, and Yancy Medeiros, who banked $30,000 for his first-round submission of Joe Proctor. All remaining cast members from “TUF 20” who competed on the card fought for “eight and eight,” with an $8,000 show purse and an $8,000 win bonus.
