Tom Campbell vs. Cody Floyd
Round 1
Campbell tries for a slam, but he was met with a guillotine and turned loose. Campbell scores with a takedown, but Floyd rises, works a kimura and lands some shots in tight. Campbell pursues the clinch and presses Floyd against the cage, as he drops for a single-leg. Floyd elbows and punches, making Campbell pay in close quarters. He lands a heavy uppercut that rattles Campbell, follows with some body shots and reverses into top position. Floyd drops punches on a wilting Campbell from top position and moves to full mount as the fight hits the ground. Punches from Floyd follow, with his opponent in survival mode. Floyd transitions to an armbar and locks in the hold as the bell sounds, saving Campbell. Sherdog.com scores it 10-9, Floyd.

Round 2

Floyd vs. Campbell
Floyd opens with a crisp left hook and follows with a flying knee, but he leaves himself open for the takedown. Campbell obliges. The referee deducts a point from Floyd for an illegal elbow, and the action grinds to a halt. The cage-side doctor enters the cage to evaluate Campbell. Campbell sits in his corner, as fans boo. Floyd swarms upon the restart, stuffs a takedown and fires away with punches and hammerfists. Floyd then passes to half guard, postures up and cracks Campbell with more punches. More punishment ensues, as the match grows more and more one-sided. Sherdog.com scores it 9-9, Floyd.

Round 3
Floyd smells blood, as Campbell dives desperately for a single-leg. He lands a knee to the head that puts down Campbell, and the referee intervenes at the 0:41 mark -- mercifully. Cody Floyd def. Tom Campbell -- TKO (Knee).

Dustin Ortiz vs. Justin Pennington
Round 1

Ortiz vs. Pennington
They trade early but nothing of substance lands from either man. Ortiz catches Pennington low, and the action grinds to a halt. Ortiz scores with a takedown, as the bout resumes. He passes immediately to half guard. Ortiz locks in an arm-triangle choke, then moves to the mount. Ortiz smothers his foe, posturing occasionally to drop punches. Pennington surrenders his back, and Ortiz lashes at him from behind. He threatens with a rear-naked choke, flattens out Pennington and tightens the hold for the tapout at 4:27 of round one. Dustin Ortiz def. Justin Pennington -- Submission (Rear-Naked Choke).


Zach Underwood vs. Hunter Worsham
Round 1
Worsham throws a body kick, eats a right hand and scores with a takedown. They scramble, as Worsham moves into side control, then works a guillotine choke from the top. Underwood stands, escapes and presses his opponent against the cage. Worsham, cut near the left eye, absorbs two right hooks, as they separate. Worsham weathers a flurry and scores with another takedown. They clinch against the cage, but Worsham moves it back to the mat with a trip takedown. The round ends with Worsham on top. Sherdog.com scores it 10-9, Worsham.

Round 2

Underwood vs. Worsham
Underwood stalks to open the second. Worsham dives for a single-leg but cannot finish the takedown. Underwood sprawls effectively and scores with knees to the body from top position, Worsham still clinging to his leg. The two men stand and clinch against the cage. Underwood scores with his first takedown, takes Worsham’s back briefly and drops punches from behind. Worsham, looking weary, returns to his feet and welcomes the clinch. Worsham threatens with a kimura, as the fight moves back to the ground, and takes full mount. Sherdog.com scores it 10-9, Underwood.


Round 3
Underwood sprawls, stuffs an attempted takedown and moves to top position, striking where he can. Worsham rolls for a kneebar, but Underwood turns him away. They stand and clinch against the cage. Referee “Big” John McCarthy separates them, as the pace slows. Worsham shoots from the outside, only to have his efforts go unrewarded. Underwood again moves into top position, as Worsham works desperately to finish the takedown, the round nearing an end. Underwood threatens with a guillotine choke, as the bell sounds. Sherdog.com scores it 10-9, Underwood.

Josh Schockman vs. Cale Yarbrough

Yarbrough vs. Schockman
Yarbrough works his jab and moves into the clinch, Schockman dropping for a takedown. Yarbrough stuffs it and lands a knee to the body from close quarters. Yarbrough grabs the Thai plum and delivers a jarring knee that sends Schockman to the mat. The Nashville fighter covers up, as Yarbrough fires away, passes to side control and moves into full mount. Blood flows from Schockman’s forehead, as Yarbrough, a veteran of “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 7, moves back to side mount and builds on his lead. The two light heavyweights return to their feet, and referee Mario Yamasaki calls for the doctor. The bout resumes after a brief exam. The action moves back to the ground, where Yarbrough lands until the bell sounds.

Round 2
Yarbrough wings power punches and invites the clinch, where he attacks knees to the leg and elbows to the head. Yarbrough drops him with another knee against the cage and finishes it from top position. Cale Yarbrough def. Josh Schockman -- TKO (Knee and Punches) R2.

Jason “Mayhem” Miller vs. Tim Stout

Miller vs. Stout
Round 1
Miller throws low kicks and kicks to the body, as Stout hunts the head. Miller scores with a takedown, moves immediately to a dominant position and drops heavy punches on Stout. The Newnan, Ga.-based middleweight struggles to control Miller’s posture in full guard. Stout, eating unanswered blows, surrenders his back, and Miller batters him from behind. By this time, Stout’s face is streaked with blood. Referee Mario Yamasaki moves in to save him from further punishment. Jason “Mayhem” Miller def. Tim Stout -- TKO (Punches) 3:09 R1.

Round 1

St. Preux vs. Hawk
Round 1
St. Preux drops Hawk with the first punch he throws, a right uppercut. He moves into half guard and unleashes a string of vicious left hands that put away his opponent. Hawk, the victim of a particularly brutal beating, remains on his back for several moments. As he returns to his stool, the damage becomes evident. His right eye is swelled shut. Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Championship
Gegard Mousasi vs. Muhammed Lawal

Round 1
Mousasi fired a head kick that is blocked. Lawal lands a right hook on the temple that backs Mousasi up. Lawal grabs a single and Mousasi defends while hoping on one leg. He punishes Lawal before the American finishes the takedown. Mousasi looks for a triangle and Lawal has none of it. Lawal opens up and punches from the top, landing effectively. Lawal passes to side control, but it’s a brief stay as Mousasi gets back to guard. Lawal is standing in the guard and ducking upkicks. Lawal lunges in and misses a right hand. Lawal holds the right foot and dodges another upkick. Left hands score for Lawal as he dives back into the guard. A right hand connects and Lawal starts to tee off with both hands. Mousasi is defending well, but absorbing the occasional blow. Mousasi has had enough; he kicks off and stands. Lawal goes back to the single and Mousasi sprawls. Mousasi glances a head kick and lands a right hand before the bell.

Round 2
Lawal’s left eye is swollen as the second round begins. He shoots right away and gets a strong double-leg takedown. Mousasi swings away and roughs Lawal up from the bottom. Mousasi is using a heels-on-hips defense and Lawal is unable to deal with the punches. Lawal stands and weaves away from an upkick. Lawal goes back to the guard and Mousasi gets to his feet. Mousasi lands a right hand before Lawal takes him directly back down. The gifted wrestler is starting to tire, but he stays active. Mousasi connects with an upkick that gives him the distance to stand. Unfortunately for Mousasi, he can’t stop Lawal’s takedown game. Lawal lands a few punches that opens a small cut on the forehead. Mousasi stands and he’s got Lawal trapped on his knees against the fencing. He looks like he wants to knee the face, but referee “Big” John McCarthy warns him not to. Lawal shoots and Mousasi transitions to his back as the round ends.

Round 3
Mousasi keeps Lawal at bay with his jab. Lawal is tired and it shows: his footwork is sloppy and he’s allowing Mousasi to push the pace on the feet. From the clinch, Lawal lands some short uppercuts and trips his prey to the canvas. Mousasi looks fresh as he controls the wrists from guard. Mousasi lets go to punch with his right hand. Lawal lands a right hand of his own. Lawal gets to half guard, where he lands some lazy right hands to the forehead. Mousasi defends and gets a half-butterfly guard. Mousasi passes to the other side and starts to land some decent leather with his left hand. From Lawal’s corner, Dean Lister instructs the wrestler to keep Mousasi’s back to the canvas. Lawal rides out the duration of the round from the top.

Round 4
Mousasi kicks the legs and body early in round four. Lawal gets a quick takedown and begins to control from the top. Mousasi tries to sit up, and Lawal blocks it by holding the right wrist and forcing him back to the floor. Lawal stands and eats a glancing upkick that gets a rise from the crowd. The action stalls and McCarthy stands the fighters. Lawal shoots a single and Mousasi sprawls. He defends properly at first, but the strength of Lawal will not be denied. Lawal moves to side control, where he knees the body with his right leg. Mousasi shows excellent leg work in getting back to half guard. Lawal is resting from the top, and McCarthy doesn’t like it. He warns the fighters to get going. Lawal lands some short punches with his left hand.

Round 5
Mousasi connects with a short right hook and defends a single. Lawal, his left eye nearly closed, backs away and ups the ante with a double. He easily lifts Mousasi into the air and deposits him on the floor. Lawal lands two right hands from the top. Mousasi throws an illegal upkick. McCarthy sees that Lawal’s knee is down, so he calls time. McCarthy deducts a point for the infraction. Mousasi looks frustrated. The fight is restarted back in the same position on the floor, with Lawal on top in the guard. Mousasi continues to win the war of striking on the floor as he peppers Lawal’s right eye. Lawal turns it up and connects with an elbow that opens up a cut on the bridge of Mousasi’s nose. Mousasi gets to his feet and looks for a standing kimura. He doesn’t have it, so he lets go and runs away. Mousasi steps right back into striking range and looks for a knockout blow. He misses punches from both hands and Lawal gets his sharpest double-leg of the night. He does nothing with the position, and McCarthy stands the fighters. Lawal gets another double as the fight comes to a close.

Strikeforce Lightweight Championship
Gilbert Melendez vs. Shinya Aoki

Round 1
Melendez takes the center of the cage and Aoki circles. Melendez catches an Aoki low kick and throws him to the floor. Aoki stands and Melendez starts to stalk his for across the cage. The crowd is growing restless and starts to boo just 90 seconds into the contest. Melendez catches an accidental finger to his right eye. Referee Mario Yamasaki calls time. The action is resumed and Aoki pulls guard. Aoki transitions directly to a triangle and an omoplata, but Melendez is game. He frees his left arm and stands. Aoki follows. Melendez lands a right hand to the body. Aoki shoots and tries to pull guard when Melendez stuffs it. Melendez kicks the legs while standing and then enters the guard of the dangerous Japanese fighter. Melendez lands a few right hands and then stands. Aoki gets backed up to the fence, where he lands a solid knee to Melendez’s chin. Melendez feels it and starts to open up. He clips Aoki with a few punches to the body and a right hand.

Round 2
Aoki’s nose is bleeding as the second round gets underway. Melendez connects with a right-hand lead. Aoki pulls guard and holds the gloves of Melendez. Yamasaki warns Aoki for the foul. Melendez connects with two solid right hands from the top before standing. Aoki scores with a left-hand lead. Melendez sneaks in a knee to the body. Melendez continues the stalking game and the crowd lets the fighters hear it. Aoki fails on a sloppy single and pulls guard. Neither fighter does anything with the position and Yamasaki stands them. Aoki pulls guard again and Melendez lands some shoulder punches before the horn.

Round 3
Aoki dives in for a single and Melendez shucks him off. Aoki stays on the ground and Melendez hops into his guard. Aoki controls the wrists and locks up his guard. Melendez pounds away from the top with a left hook and a few rights. Yamasaki stands the fighters. Aoki falls short on a single and flops. Melendez briefly enters the guard and then backs out. Yamasaki lets Aoki stand and the process repeats itself, with Aoki flopping and Melendez gladly accepting the top. Aoki grabs his own foot in search of the rubber guard, but Melendez places his head against the fence and blocks it. Meldnez postures in the guard and connects with rights to the body and head. The pace slows and Yamasaki acts. Aoki scores with a knee and Melendez lights him up with a punching flurry. It’s all Melendez after 15 minutes.

Round 4
Melendez finds a home for his right hand on the chin of Aoki. The Dream 155-pound champion pulls guard and gets his body punished from Melendez’s left hand. The fighters stand and Melendez continues the assault to the body with a straight right. Aoki is showing signs of damage as his right eye starts to swell. Aoki flops and chases Melendez. The wrestler pops Aoki with a hard right hand that stuns Aoki. Yamasaki steps in and warns Melendez for an illegal blow, but there was nothing illegal about it. Terrible job by the referee as Aoki was hurt and Melendez was pounding away before the interaction.

Round 5
Aoki takes a finger to the eye. Yamasaki calls time and the bout is restarted shortly after. Melendez misses a wild right and Aoki is able to pull guard. Melendez moves the ground battle to the fence and Aoki tries to lock up rubber guard. Melendez peppers Aoki with short right hands from the top. Melendez backs away and gets enough distance to put some power behind his punches. Aoki eats a few and then whiffs on an upkick. Yamasaki stands them. Aoki pulls guard, but Melendez refuses to take any risks this late in the bout. He stands punishes Aoki with right hands after another failed shot. Melendez pours it on in the final 15 seconds with punches from both hands. Aoki falls off balanced as the fight ends.

Jake Shields vs. Dan Henderson

Round 1
Henderson folds Shields with a right hook. Shields is hurt and Henderson pounces. Shields recovers and goes to a heel hook. The UFC and pride veteran pulls his foot free and the fight returns to the feet. Henderson lands another right hand that stumbles Shields. Shields steps forward and Henderson unloads with rights and lefts. Shields is being outclassed by Henderson’s power early. Shields goes down and Henderson is all over him. Henderson lets him up and Shields scores with a right hand. Henderson clinches with the champion against the fence. Referee McCarthy separates the fighters and restarts the action in the center of the cage. Shields shoots a single and nearly gets it. Henderson goes down briefly and the bounces back up. Henderson connects to Shields’ body with his right knee. Henderson scores with a right before the horn.

Round 2
Shields gets a single and Henderson briefly transitions to the back. Shields turns the position and takes the top position. Shields achieves the mount. Henderson, from the bottom, elbows the left thigh of Shields. The Cesar Gracie trained fighter postures up and sneaks a left hand through Henderson’s raised hands. Henderson lands three back-swinging right hands that force Shields to change his positioning in the mount. Shields sets up an arm-triangle choke and Henderson defends it. Shields postures back up and he’s throwing non-stop punches at the defending Henderson. Most are blocked and dodges, but some are getting through. Henderson gets to half guard and is greeted by right-handed hammerfists. Big round for Shields.

Round 3
Shields gets a single, but Henderson rolls and gets to his feet. Shields attacks the lead leg of Henderson with low kicks. Shields drops levels for another single and he gets it. Shields gets to half guard, but he can’t stay long. Henderson gets to a closed guard two minutes into the round. Shields passes to half guard and then side control. Shields gets back into the mount. He’s having his way with Henderson on the floor. In the final moments of the round, Shields spins for an armbar. Henderson frees his limb at the bell.

Round 4
Henderson misses a wild right and gives up a takedown. Henderson scrambles and then secures another single. Shields moves to side control. Shields works to get to the mount as the crowd boos. Shields again gets to the mount. Henderson bucks him off and Shields looks for kimura on the left arm. He lets go of it, goes back to mount and then returns to side control for another kimura. Again he gives it up to get the mount back. Shields postures and punches from the mount. Henderson is getting dominated. Henderson turns his back to avoid punishment, and then thinks better of it when Sheilds looks to sink his hooks. The crowd starts to boo again. Another huge round for Shields.

Round 5
Henderson swings for the fences and Shields gets another hard-fought takedown. Henderson has no answer for Shields on the canvas; he effortlessly goes back to the mount. The pace slows and John McCarthy tells Jake to look for the finish. Shields stays on Henderson like a glove while leaning up to deliver blows. Shields looks for an arm-triangle choke and it looks to be deep. Shields goes to knee-on-belly, but Henderson still has fight in him after 24 minutes in the cage. He escapes and then survives an armbar attempt. Shields seeks to make a statement as he transitions to a kneebar. Henderson kicks his way out at the bell.

Jason Miller interrupts Jake Shields’ post-fight interview saying, “Where’s my rematch, buddy?” Gilbert Melendez tries to step between the fighters and a brawl breaks out live on CBS as Miller mixes it up with Shields’ camp. It’s unclear who throws the first punch.
